And you didn't even mention the "Excerise" factor in the mix

I'm curious if you can rent from one location and return to another one? Sounds like an interesting program!!

$40 annually? I'd totally go for that, even though I already have a rad bike, say goodbye to taxis or buses for good, cept for maybe if somebody is joining you for that ride home who isn't a smart bike member...

I wrote a short story once about everyone in a city rode the same type bike, and they were just traded off at stopping points, maintenance was free. But it raised questions, what about comfort? Are the seats easily adjusted? Are there baskets for groceries? In the situation in DC, can you drop the bikes off at any station, or do you have to drop them off at the same place you rented it? I think it's a fantastic idea! I don't know if I want to be riding a bike around San Francisco's hills though.

This is a great concept. Every city should follow and have a bike-sharing program. It's eco-friendly and you get your daily exercise!

Don't mean to rain on the parade. Great idea, but weak bike choice.
