Activists have warned about this since 2001, before 9/11.
Congress and most Americans have enabled the gutting of the Constitution, suspension of habeus corpus and amassing of unbridled Executive power for over 7 years.
With the Bush Executive Order, any excuse can be used to enforce Martial Law, and the Bush/Cheney Cabal have private contractors and detention camps are already in place to wage domestic military operations and imprison citizens in the U.S..
