"You have likely read by now that some female gamers are quite upset over the Sony title Fat Princess. However, the notably crude game concept has offended some, and they’re being vocal about it..."

  • Really thoughtful article.

Earlier this week, I was astonished -- and embarrassed -- by the major stink ordinarily reasonable factions of messageboard kids made when these women dared to comment on "Fat Princess." The female bloggers have already deleted the most offensive comments, but there is still evidence online of the ridiculous backlash. As a female gamer (even one who wholly intends to purchase "Fat Princess" upon launch), I'm disheartened and stumped.

  • Games doesn't need philosophical whiners about a funny concept of feeding a girl to keep her stationary.

This is why bureaucracy sucks because everyone has to have an opinion that keeps things from moving on.

There are things to be upset about but a game that's solely joke is not one of them. And you know what complaining does...it makes people want to play it.

I suppose in that respect that people shouldn't be mean towards people offering concern about a game because they are inadvertently promoting the game and one should appreciate that.
