Microsoft has just spent $300 million in a new ad strategy to remind people that Vista isn't as rubbish as everyone thinks.
The ad is planned to herald Vista's new and apparently patched-up package.

Oh dear. Kind of reminds me of the warning posters at my local (very poorly operated, constantly running late service) train station reminding people please not to assault the staff.

Changing an ad campaign does not make the software more functional. They are just trying to cool down the bad rep, the bad rep that is there for a reason.
