Christian Bale, speaking publicly for the first time about his alleged assault on his mother and sister, has appealed for people to "respect my privacy".
He made the comment at a press conference in Barcelona, after the Spanish premiere of the Dark Knight, where he also stated that the allegations were "a deeply private matter".

A not wholly unjustified demand.
It really is no one else's business.
I think it's overblown anyway. -
Even though my nosy self desperately want to find out exactly what happened in that hotel room on Monday night, I think he makes a good point and he and his family should be granted the privacy they need to deal with the problem. I thought it was slightly strange of the mother and sister to go to the police in the first place especially if rumours are true and it was 'just' a verbal assault.
