Now it's up to Senator McCain to show his ability to speak to the rest of the world as a leader of substance, quality and vision.
If he can't, no matter which political party he belongs to, he has no business being our president. -

nobody acknowledges that there was a free concert connect to his speech.

Like in Portland Oregon this was organized as a big rock concert where he should have said. "Ich Bin ein Defeatist"
If he wanted to imitiate Kennedy and Reagan, He should have gone to Bagdad and do a public speech there and said "Ich bin ein Iraki". That would have been history.
We are tired of his cliff notes speeches and his empty rethoric.
Does he really think the US voters are stupid ? -

No, he thinks he can win with the smart ones. That is why we don't need the votes of the ignorant or the bigots, so we don't care about your vote.
And no, he didn't want a speech like that of Reagan or Kennedy in substance, but only in atmospherics and visuals. A policy speech would have been inappropriate (he's not president yet), but he wanted to show how presidential he is and how "presidential" can go back to meaning something positive for us and the world. He wants to, as your beloved Bush put it, "restore honor and dignity to the White House."
You and the Republicans are pathetic and have no substance to your criticisms. -
