Star Trek and Doctor Who fans will be banned from asking Patrick Stewart or David Tennant to sign sci-fi related merchandise while they star in a stage production of Hamlet. The RSC-run production has attracted a huge amount of interest as a result of its cult stars but hopes to keep the show focused Shakespeare rather that Star Treck or Doctor Who. The stars will still be allowed to sign RSC or Shakespeare related memorabilia.

I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, I understand that they have an agenda at the rope lines. On the other hand, why should they dictate the items fans bring to be signed.
