Lomography is a lo-fi style of photography that started in the Soviet Union, but has since been adopted by young photographers in the States as well.

Not just Lomo's, toycameras in general are very fun to play with.
It's nice to have a second hand one, which does have little holes in it from cracks etc. so your film gets overexposure from light and features some funky, random effects.
The pricetag of Lomo models has been increasing lately due to demand, but there are some second hand jewels to be found online.

I love doing this! I've just got a film eatting camera and sometimes I grab it when I see something I like. It's that simple.

Here's a great site by the way that has all the Soviet cameras and their history including all the Lomos!

The Lomo LC-A is the only Soviet camera in this video the rest are actually Chinese even though they are called "Lomo"...

Wow, I love this movement. I agree with the Lomo rules for photography in general: posed photographs can be so boring!

Also, trying to capture a "pinpoint" tends to be quite difficult, which brings out the best in any artist. With limited exposures in a roll of film, I tend to want to think more about each shot, but at the same time one must have reflexes like a rabbit to catch the moments.

The quick shots also tend to capture a limited perspective, which creates photos that have a lot of personality and magnetism.

Also, this reminds me of disposable cameras!

I love my Diana camera, especially the unpredictable nature of plastic cameras and the color.

Here are a few pictures from my first roll of film with my Diana.

LOMO love - bring it on.
There used to be a Lomo shop in London back in the day, gutted when it closed down...

They also sold me a Kalimar which is a 16 lense beauty..!

Love the intrigue you get when wondering what the film will produce / if it will turn out - great in this instant digital age..also try using slide film for some serious colour saturation - though beware the processing costs !!!

Plenty of other bits on Lomo if you search on current.com

This looks awesome, i do just that, point, shoot, look at them later. However my digital camera is a bit bulky. and meant more for settings and such.
I'm definitely looking into one of these cameras right now.
    Nice video man
