Unidentified Beast Washes Ashore in Jersey

This is an actual monster, some sort of rodent-like creature with a dinosaur beak. A tipster says that there is "a government animal testing facility very close by in Long Island," but unless the government is trying to design horrible Montauk monsters that will eat IEDs and fart fire at bad Iraqis, we're not sure why they would create such an unthinkable beast. Our guess is that it's viral marketing for something. Ali Lohan's new album perhaps.

Anybody have any guesses as to what in this thing is?

    • actually, i've reconsidered over the past few months. . .it's nothing more than a dog, probably a pit bull, that's been killed and skinned. the 'beak' was made by removing the skin and muscles of the snout.

the cloth could have been a leather strap or part of a leash that held it in place during its suffering.

this is nothing more than an example of cruelty to a nonhuman animal, something humans excel at. . .like conspiracy theories.

      sorry, guys.

    • I have no idea at all what this beast can be, If their is a lab close by maybe it excaped, We probaly will never know, they are not going to admit to it! But this Can very well be an under water creature, Man has only Explored About 25 Percent of the ocean surface, its another world down their thing out of our amagination, But they are still gods creature.

    • Honestly guys, I think this looks like a large turtle missing it's shell. And also, if it were a mutant or whatever, it would be understandably so....it washed ashore in an area of New Jersey where every toxic substance known to man is also dumped....

    • Thanks for sharing that, Truth Seeker, I think lots of Tv shows/ Movies/ etc, are based on real phenomenon, and we should be open to all possibilities of the unknown...

    • This might seem a little eccentric, however my colleagues and I believe that this unidentified monster/beast may be none other than Charmeleon, the pokemon creature whose firey tale shines at night like stars. I know this sounds peculiar but I believe that the government in fact produced this children's game from creatures that do exist. However they keep them under confinement. We see many similarities in the two creatures but you may see the differences in the tail fire. This obviously went out when it hit the water at 120 mph. We are lucky that this creature had not reached its fullest potential in evolution... CHARIZARD!!!! Charizard is said to be 5'7'' and 199.5 lbs while Charmeleon is a maximum of 41 lbs. We hope this will help the investigation. For more information, feel free to contact us at TRUTH SEEKERS 1-800-SEEKERS (1-800-733-5377). Stay posted for more Truth Seeker theories and updates.

    • Ok, we have siamese twins, that girl born with 8 limbs...is it possible this is a turtle gone bad? Missing a Shell and so on? Poor thing..it must be possible that these deformities happen to turtles. I have even heard of frogs changing due to enviornmental causes....could it be it was something in the water?

    • Has anyone ever seen an animal that has drowned before? They get really bloated & discolored. Sometimes almost unrecognizable. I think it's just a Pitt Bull...maybe a fighting dog cause of the wrap around it's leg. Cover the head & just look at it's snout. Looks just like a dog. As for the feet, those could be overgrown nails. Poor thing. I hope it didn't suffer.

    • Call it a monster, call it an ET, call it an experiment, but whatever you call it, remember that this was once a living, breathing being, a child of God, with thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Yes, it looks like a gargoyle, but not every creature can resemble a golden retriever, a wild horse, or a Russian blue cat.

Whether the creature, and others like him if there are any, originated in a lab, came to Earth in a UFO, or emerged from a dark hiding place where its forebears had been living for millennia, it deserves the respect of all other life forms, including human beings.

When and if we learn exactly what kind of creature it is, it would probably be of more benefit to us if we simply observed its behavior - rather than being killed and dissected. New forms of life can be fascinating - while their status as a resident of Planet Earth should be respected.

    • Looks just like a gargoyle.

They are all over the world on buildings some look very much like this thing. Perhaps they were (are) real.

And the reason we have not seen any is because their numbers are down.

    • this is one of their genetic experiments in creature design, some kindacross with a bird and cow maybe a pig or all three. these guys are mad scientists, they have done this with human genes as well and are doing it. we in for big time sorrow if we not wake up and take power back. How? for one everyone stop working for one week and do not buy gasoline for one week. if you are not willing to do this you just gave away any say you have in what they are doing and going to do to us.take a week off and dont drive, you'll enjoy it.also dont use cell phones, watch television or go to movies shut this fucker down and take our power back, before it too late and youare biochipped.

you're a fucking retard and deserve to die for it...go fuck yourself in the ass you idiot. do you really think that the government would waste money trying to create this creature? please do us all a favor and kill yourself so we don't have to listen to your psycho babble bullshit. it is most likely a species that we haven't seen thus far. it is entirely possible that it has hidden away underground. to me, in my very unprofessional opinion, i see no evidence on how this creatures movement in the water would be made easy; it has no fins that i can see, and it has claws and a beak, which is most likely used for digging as was previously stated. now shut the fuck up!

    • What happened to the alien creature, did some lab take it to find out what it is? I hope it was not an experiment, poor creature.

ouch, name calling really drives home your point (if we were in middle school).

Too bad that's not the only inaccuracy in this story, turns out it's a hoax put on to promote some new cartoon network show.

    • i tend to think--at first glance--it's an underground dweller.

looks like those are claws similar to a mole's on the right forearm, developed for digging.

i can't tell if there's webbing beween the fingers.

but then again, if there is webbing there, that and its hairlessness would make me think it's aquatic. then the beak would be used to break open shellfish.

reminds me of some fossil reconstructions i've seen, but i can't remeber where for the life of me. . .

. . .but the question to me is, what's the strap wrapped around the right forearm?
