  • I've read that there is anywhere from 4000 to 9000 banks in the U.S.

That's a big game of dominoes....

I don't trust banks personally.. Can't get away without using one in everyday life unfortunately..

I use them as minimally as possible. Same with credit cards.

I myself, am a silver and gold person..

Gonna need something to barter with once fiat money is as valuable as toilet paper....

Interesting times are ahead for us all..

    Ride on!

what do you really thinks going to happen. I'll trade you
2 potatoes for a cup of sugar, right! I bet the biggest gun gets whatever it wants. Start communicating with your friends and relatives have a plan to stick together
and stock up on non perishables a big tribe has a better chance of surviving when the infrastructure collaspses.

  • What we're in for soon, is going to make the Crash of 1929 and the resulting Depression of the 1930s look like a picnic.

My family, like 1000s of others is planning (and packing) to move to a warmer climate before the next election in November.

If we eventually end up on the street, it'll be a sunny one instead of a snowy or rainy one.

My advise... when you're walking down the street, make sure you keep looking up, to avoid the bankers and stock market traders jumping from the upper windows.

This country is already in deep DEEP doodie, and it's about to get worse than you can ever imagine.

Thank you Dubya, the corrupt politicians and the greedy corporations. Thank You Very VERY much!

  • HAHA
"the greatest country on earth" and we're all watching it go down the drain and are not doing a goddamn thing.

J.Stewart said it the best and even put it on his book,
    "Democracy Inaction"

..and Dawn_Davenport.. I don't know if warmer climate will be the answer, I'd suggest going up to Canada as a refugee, before the rest of U.S. jumps the bandwagon.

  • It's ironic that the same people that were lauding Bush's economic 'plan' because it seemed to, initially, to help small business, therefore helped keep people employed several years ago. Now, these same people are criticizing that same plan as being short sighted. How fickle are we the people.

  • We already use the barter system in America - I'll give you this green folding thing for that big red crunchy apple (or whatever)... it's all barter when you come down to it, it's just what you're willing to give to get what you need!
