The government is trying to bury the 2001 anthrax attack scandal (the anthrax came from a U.S. military base) by claiming that one of the key suspects - Bruce E. Ivins - was a "lone nut" who committed suicide. The government claims that the anthrax letters were an innocent mistake which was "part of an Army scientist's warped plan to test his cure for the deadly toxin". Case closed.

It's neat and tidy when these people keep committing suicide or like Ken Lay just die before they can testify. No messy trials or other people implicated. Does anyone know where Ken Lay's wife lives now?
-
The government did it's job. They followed this cat around until he went crazy and killed himself.
The scapegoat has been delivered..... -
Amazing they think we are that gullible to believe this. They did this to get the Patriot Act passed in a hurry... John Conyers already admitted it wasn't even read for the most part before being voted on and that it happens quite frequently in Congress. They then delivered the scapegoat who now cannot talk. All tied up and clean.
-
This honestly is one of the most shocking revelations of this year, and it seems to go by without most people caring.
The whole 'America is under attack' thing was an inside job all along, and now the one responsible for it 'commits suicide'. Can it be more obvious? -
It seems nothing is beyond belief these days.

who trained osama bin laden to fight the russians in the eighties? our cia. but dont worry the next time those crazy liberals yell about the next dangerous endevour our government wants to persue, we will be assured that our worries are not warrented because our government will secure and protect us. that is until a decade or two passes and it turns out our apprehensions were valid.

Check out this huge article on the matter by The Salon.
"If the now-deceased Ivins really was the culprit behind the attacks, then that means that the anthrax came from a U.S. Government lab, sent by a top U.S. Army scientist at Ft. Detrick. Without resort to any speculation or inferences at all, it is hard to overstate the significance of that fact." -
How many people were killed by Anthrax, again?

Not many people were killed by the anthrax, but that is not the point. The point was the fear factor.

Don,t forget that 2 senators were sent anthrax letters
{Lehey and Dashile ] both were in positions to stop the new patriot act. -
Olbermann had an interesting segment about this last night on "smell testing the anthrax story."
This implication is this was an inside job. How's that for terrifying? For all the passengers molested at airports, for all the illegal listening by government to phone conversations, it was a government research scientist who did this?
We will never know if this was the man or part of a larger conspiracy. He is the Lee Harvey Oswald of this sad episode in American history.
And remember, McCain went on Letterman's show and said all indications showed the anthrax came from... Iraq. (This video is also available at the Olbermann site at the following link: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/#25978240 )
Namaste.-

This story stinks of black operation, and with Ivins now dead; the perfect patsy.
-
Private sector doctors should be given the chance to perform an autopsy on Mr Ivins to determine the real cause of death.

As long as they do it out in the open and are so obvious no one suspects them. I still wonder where Ken Lay's wife is living? South America somewhere, or maybe Dubai?

This was the Headline 2 months ago:
"U.S. Settles With Scientist Named in Anthrax Cases"
http://current.com/items/89058353_u_s_settles_with_scie... -
I doubt anyone with any degree of intelligence will ever believe this ridiculous conspiracy.
unfortunately, that only exempts a little less than half of the US population.
sad, stupid, scary, get out your guns folks -
Perfect for them that only half of us believe it. Might get uncomfortable if everyone knew. That's why we don't get any real news anymore. It would be tough for them if people knew the facts, instead of easy. Ask the DC Madam how easy it is.

What with Hatfill and Ivins both in one month, it does seem timely that the anthrax issue is getting wrapped up all nice with a bow on it just as the bastards who perpetrated it on us are about to lose control of law enforcement.

The "suicide" of Bruce Irvins was predicted by a fellow blogger back in June 2008:
With Steven Hatfill winning his settlement the FBI is going to need a new fall guy. The folks still at USAMRIID should stay out of small planes and away from high windows. Barbra Rosenberg, Bruce Irvins and anyone else likely to be on hit list of William Patrick, (maybe Ken Alibek?) had best not be going to have breakfast with their moms any time soon.
Face it the FBI is not going to investigate Philip Zack and the media is not going to mention his name either. With Asad and Hatfilled now both cleared, what is the government going to do? They can't just close the case. There going to have to be a blame shift. Some unlucky sap is going to have their life ruined or taken. If they had dirt on someone else you would think after 7 years they would have been investigating them already but the FBI is dry. They know who did it of course but they won't go after them so how are they going to start up a new investigation 7 years after the even with a fresh suspect? Watch out for more strange deaths. -
This whole thing is pretty stupid. They had one witness, then all of the sudden he was acquitted and this new guy was their witness. Of course we don't find out until he "kills himself". And I just love how the Justice Department is closing the case with his suicide. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?

The mysterious deaths of top microbiologists
It all began with Don Wiley.
On November 15th, Harvard Professor Don Wiley left a gathering of friends and colleagues some time after 10:30 PM. The next morning, Memphis police found his rental car stopped on a bridge, with a full tank of gas and keys still in the ignition. There was no financial or family trouble. Indeed Wiley was supposed to meet his family at the Memphis airport to continue on to an Icelandic vacation. Neither was there any history of depression or mental illness.
In the report printed in the New York Times on November 27th, the FBI's Memphis office distanced itself from the case saying that the available facts did not add up to a suspicion of foul play. I guess at the FBI it's a perfectly everyday occurrence for a Harvard Professor to stop his rental car on a bridge in the middle of the night before he is supposed to leave for Iceland and just walk away into the Tennessee dark.
The NYT report of November 27th also downplayed Professor Wiley's expertise in virology, quoting Gregory Verdine, a professor of chemical biology at Harvard, said, "If bioterrorists were to abduct Don Wiley, they'd be very disappointed," because his research was in studying the component parts of viruses, and "that doesn't really help you make a more dangerous version of the virus."
But this statement is not consistent with the facts of Professor Wiley's full range of knowledge. Wiley has, in conjunction with another Harvard Professor, Dr. Jack Strominger, won several academic prizes for their work in immunology, including a Lasker prize. Don Wiley is a Harvard professor, but he is also a researcher at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and the National Institute of Health. The Howard Hughes Medical Institute is located in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and performs biological research, sometimes jointly funded by the Department of Defense and the NIH. Don Wiley's peers at Harvard include professors such as John Collier performing research on Anthrax.
So, contrary to the dismissive tone of the New York Times report, Professor Wiley would be of great value to anyone developing biological weapons. This makes the FBI's obvious disinterest in the case highly questionable, indeed reminiscent of the FBI's obvious disinterest in the numerous witnesses in Oklahoma City who had seen Tim McVeigh in the company of additional perpetrators not to mention the witnesses who had seen additional bombs.
Especially in light of the events of 9/11, the vanishing of a scientist with Professor Wiley's expertise in virology and immunology should have been expected to be an issue of critical national importance, yet the official tone of the government was that this is nothing to worry about. Move along citizen, nothing to see.
In the context of the Anthrax letters being sent through the mail, any disappearance of any microbiologist under questionable circumstances should have set off alarm bells across the nation. but it didn't. Professor Wiley was assumed to have committed suicide, end of story.
The professor's colleagues expressed doubts about the official "suicide" explanation for his disappearance.
Then, more biologists started to die under suspicious circumstances.
The Very Mysterious Deaths of Five Microbiologists.
The body count of infections disease experts continued to climb. Connections to weapons research began to surface.
As many as 14 world-class microbiologists died between 9/11/1 and 3/2/2, and on 6/24/2 yet another microbiologist was added to the list.
Still the US Government acted as if nothing was amiss, as silent on the question of dead microbiologists as they are on the question of the Israeli spies and their connection to 9-11. -
Cont'd....
In fact, the official silence on the question of how so many top experts in infectious diseases could die in such a short time span is deafening.
Now, statistically, it's possible, even likely, that one or two of these microbiologists legitimately were killed in random accidents. But for so many to die in such a short while exceeds all reasonable bounds of statistics. Prudence would demand an investigation, not the "ho hum" attitude of the government which even today continues to issue dire warnings to the general population of how much we are all in danger from "bioterrorism".
So, let's take a moment and step away from the perpetual fear-mongering of the media (and Rumsfeld) as they assure us another attack IS coming (with a certainty which suggests inside information on the subject) and assume for a moment that some party has indeed decided to "liquidate" weapons research infectious disease experts.
There is really only one reason to kill off a bunch of scientists. To keep them from doing something they are able to do.
What were these scientists able to do? Maybe blow the whistle if an artificially created disease was about to be used in a manner those who created it did not approve of.
Regardless of the exact reason, there does seem to be a clear pattern of targeted microbiologists, and paired with it, an obvious government disinterest in the matter.
I leave it to you to figure out why.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
The above two posts are one story that has been deleted from the news archives. I had been doing some investigation into the mysterious deaths of microbiologists, just before and after GW got elected. Coincidentally, it was at the end of the 90's that scientists had just completed work on phenotyping the genetic sequence of HIV and discovered that it was a spliced virus; two viruses had been spliced together to create a super bug "that no human being would have a natural immune defense to." It was the culmination of a project authorized in 1969 in a Defense Spending Bill to create a biological agent that met the above quoted criteria.
The microbiologists were angered by what they discovered and threatened to go public with their findings. They were threatened not to do that and reminded of their signed oaths to protect government secrets.
I can post more of this "redacted" evidence if you want to see more. I have lots of information on this subject. -
Let me add to what I just wrote to BigDogMike here by saying that history will say the people of the Land of the Free turned Land of the Fee lost their democracy because they no longer demanded that government fear them. They accomplished this by making the government the fat mother hog from which they sucked everything they needed, turned to their government instead of their god (thus making of their lowlife government a god) in every time of need, no matter how small.
When John Kennedy demanded that "Americans" "Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country," he was being prophetic.
You have, all of you what you deserve; I, who was willing to lose everything (and did) to stand up to government, will now watch as you get what you asked for - degradation and eventual slavery. My one regret is that it will be your children and grandchildren who live in the virtual prison you have created.-

This is insane! I refuse to bel...
Oh. wait. Mail just arrived.
*rip*
Shit.
*flump* -
As you may know (I wrote a book which included stories of persons mentally altered and murdered by the federal government), I have long been aware - having investigated several - of many cases like this one.
The record (the record the public ignores, choosing instead to be interested in trivia like the lewd lives of celebrities) is replete with stories of persons whose death or disappearance benefited the government (what rational person wouldn't expect this of a government owned by corporations who observe only the Pinto Rule?).
It is a matter of demonstrable fact that the CIA once published a manual outlining methods for making murder look like death by natural causes of suicide.
Unless you are among those actually doing something to change what is happening to our country, you have the government you deserve, my friends.
And, by the way, mere complaining via the internet won't help change anything. Neither will merely voting in our phony elections.-
