'McCain, this is where my money goes?!'

Image...
Paris Hilton may not have seen her cameo in John McCain's latest campaign ad, but her mom, Kathy, sure has—and she ain't happy!

"I've been asked again and again for my response to the now infamous McCain celebrity ad," mama Hilton wrote in a short blog on the Huffington Post.

"I actually have three responses. It is a complete waste of the money John McCain's contributors have donated to his campaign. It is a complete waste of the country's time and attention at the very moment when millions of people are losing their homes and their jobs. And it is a completely frivolous way to choose the next president of the United States."

To add more fuel to the fire, Kathy and her husband, Rick, donated a total of $4,600 to McCain's campaign earlier this year.

So what do you think, is she a protective mother or a PO'd campaign contributor?

I think she's both...

I think the Hiltons are used to people making jokes about Paris but they didn't take the Hiltons' money before doing so like McCain did. If I were Mrs. Hilton, I would publicly announce that I'm not voting for McCain. I would tell him on camera that he's not welcome at the Hilton Hotels, please sleep on your bus. I would let people know that John McCain is desperate for attention, desperate to win this election and would pick on celebs to do it.

I could not have said it better.

MyCane is acting childish and squandering campaign funds on what he terms are humorous ads that trivialize the national debate.

That's because the Republican party only see's Americans as sources of revenue.

Well it's been made very, VERY, apparent in the past few years that Kathy Hilton does not care about her daughter's public image. It appears she is just voicing legitimate concerns that her and fellow Republicans share about McCain's floundering campaign.

Thats why Nobama wants to take more taxes from Americans.... And the other parties want to take less taxes.... suddenly your comment seems uninformed and therefore unimportant

This is an example of just how underhanded politicians are. They will use anything and everything against you and if they can, they will kill you in the process. What kind of political system do Americans support today– smoke and mirrors?

Paris and Britney, a couple of talent-free celebutards, famous only for being lethally blond just two weeks ago, have been supplanted by entertainers like Hannah Montana and Rihanna in pop culture. So, that attack ad not only vividly demonstrated McCain's desperation this early on, but just how horribly out of touch with the contemporary American setting Grampers truly is.

Wow, what has the world come to when you find your self in complete agreement with Kathy Hilton?

Once again, McCain and company fail to do their research before attacking Obama... or maybe they're just really that stupid.

I'm an Obama guy but hell, it was a stupid ad and they only gave $4600, which is what that lady spends in a week of getting her nails done. McCain should be insulted to know he was only given $4600 by the Hiltons! hahaaa!

The ad sucks, McCain is an old timer and if he gets elected the US will become Cambodia.

I just watched the video, and it reassures me that McCain is not going to win and how much he shouldn't.

It's not so much how he stoops to comparing Obama to a celebrity on the same caliber as Britney Spears or Paris Hilton. Its how he focuses on Obama's "No Offshore Drilling" stance, as a reason why he can't lead.

Even if we were to drill all US offshore deposits of oil, that would only supply the US for 2 years, at our current consumption rates (It is estimated that only 16 Billion BBL of Oil are covered by this ban, and the US currently consumes 21 Million BBL a day). This proposal is populist and short-term, and only pushes the problem down the road.

Obama is right, we have to start focusing now on reducing our dependency on oil. Oil has been our opiate for decades, and now we're starting to feel the hangover. Its time to start planning how we're going to deal with this, rather than finding ways to keep on it.

I have to say I'm amused by all the nicknames some of you people can come up with for the presidential candidates. I've got images of all sorts of clandestine brainstorm meetings. "John McBain?" "No, no, no, it must be MyPain(intheass)!"

I am a fan of Paris, not a fan in the typical sense. I despise hearing all the latest news about her. I would just love to meet her in some way, and be more than a fan that gets just like, an autograph or something.

Sadly, she's a celebrity, I'm a commoner, that's what I hate about our society. Anyways, I don't like John McCain.

It is sad that McCain's previous TV ad about his time serving the country, was followed by an ad featuring Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. It may be getting McCain more publicity, but respect, no.

Before you bash someone like Paris, think of this: if you were the child of a wealthy family, locked into the upper class, what would you do? I mean, if that's all you knew, being able to buy almost everything, and whatnot.

If I donated thousands of dollars to a presidential candidate and he used that money to publicly insult my daughter, I'd be pissed too. McCain is an idiot.

  •

She is right to be pissed for it was not money well spent.

And McCain is right about Obama being a vapid star. He has yet to show what he can offer outside of being a well spoken man...which would do Nashville Star a lot of good because Billy Ray sucks at hosting.
