FAST FACTS:
* Freeman's car went off Highway 32 in Tallahatchie County, MS Sunday night at 11:30
* Police say Freeman may have fallen asleep at the wheel
* Freeman airlifted to the Med, now listed in Serious condition
(Memphis 8/4/2008) Actor Morgan Freeman has been upgraded to Serious condition according to officials at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, also known as the Med.
Freeman was taken there in critical condition after a bad car crash.
Mississippi Highway Patrol reports Freeman's car went off Highway 32 near Leavy Road in Tallahatchie County and flipped several times.
Freeman was air lifted to the Med.
The Associated Press reports Freeman was alert and even making jokes at the crash scene.
A woman who was in the car was also taken to the Med.
We're told Freeman may have fallen asleep at the wheel.

Oh no, not HIM..! Hope it's not too serious. I've always loved his films especially those in which he plays God it's just so fitting cos he brings the calmness that character needs.

I'm actually going to the Med later today to visit a friend, I think I am going to try and cozy up to one of the nurses to find out if (s)he's heard anything about Freeman's state of health.
He's my absolute favorite actor and I, too, hope he and his passenger have a speedy recovery. He's a great person as well as great actor.
