Who knows better how much longer oil reserves are going to last than someone who has made billions of dollars with oil.
Who knows better what is going to happen to the value of the dollar than someone who has billions of them and inside connections to the people who make the economy?
If you want to have a product that everyone needs to matter what---and if you control the supply you can get anything you want, what product would you chose? Here's a hint---people can go a LONG time without drinking crude oil.
