Obama leads McCain nationally in AP-Ipsos poll

A new poll finds Barack Obama is leading John McCain nationally by 6 percentage points thanks to big leads he is enjoying among women, minorities and younger voters.

The Associated Press-Ipsos poll shows that Obama is leading his Republican rival 47 percent to 41 percent. McCain has a 10-point lead among whites and is tied with the Democrat among men, but Obama is leading by 13 points among women and has huge leads with minorities and the young.

The poll was released Tuesday following a week in which the two camps accused each other of bringing race into a campaign in which Obama is seeking to become the country's first African-American president.

    OK, someone help me!

During the election between George HW Bush and Bill Clinton, you know that ancient history where Bill won ostensibly because "It's the economy, stupid!"....Well, anyway, life does go on...He was a character...I would have cut him a lot more "slack" than most....like mind your own business for the sake of his "family"...

.A MALE Chicago "psychiatrist" supposedly did some "research" claiming 51% of women "voters" (I think that was critical--women who actually vote) will vote for the candidate they would rather sleep with.....

There was a little "uproar"...so it was said, and the story went something like-----

A FEMALE psychiatrist wanted the license of her male peer revoked citing "reckless as well as irresponsible research" and she set about to contradict his findings....

Only to find out----It was true....commercial.....

It was forgotten, or at least "slept under the carpet"...

I swear I heard this on a "reputable news radio station" and can't find the research anywhere...Was this "Urban Myth?"

It was so potentially intriguing, I need to know once and for all! Obama or McCain in the sack? And, if true, it is so PHD research worthy...please be untrue, yet....maybe...no....

I can hear it in the back rooms now, "Let's nominate_______________, he is reasonably politically astute and can guarantee 51%(Or more?) of the women's vote on looks alone!"

If this "research" has not been verified, or if this falls under "psychological research" which could be conducted, this would be a great year to settle this once and for all!

Maybe there is also some subliminal MALE quality 51% of us would vote for....GAME OVER!....Think of the money that could be directed somewhere else instead of campaigning!

Like investing in psychological research to figure out why we are so reliant upon leaders, instead of figuring it out peacefully and cooperatively for ourselves...

I'm not trying to piss anyone off here, really...just interested in this environment of "polemic politicing"...What does a presidential candidate really reflect to us subliminally?

But I'm guessing that would influence the research...

Polls dont mean shit. I want Mccain to win, but i dont think any poll is accurate enough to be calling winners and losers.
