John McCain's Theme Song

Yes, and that's really how we should choose our political leaders, isn't it, by which one has the best theme song.

No one votes based on a song, or a single daily fix episode, but it is interesting to see how music artists choose to endorse candidates through song.

"Still the One" is by Orleans, not Hall & Oates. The person who threatened with a cease and desist was John Hall of Orleans, not Daryl Hall of Hall & Oates.

Interestingly enough, John Hall of Orleans is now a Democratic congressman from New York in the US House. Same person who threatened Bush with a cease and desist for using "Still the One" in '04.

I only know all this because I'm personal friends with Orleans's former lead singer -- who's also on the left wing.

Never heard of them, but it sounds terrible.

McCain already has the vote of the people that would enjoy this song. He needs to brach out with a new theme song that reaches out to a different kind of voter. My vision is pro McCain lyrics to the melody of YMCA.

Oh, this song celebrates John McCain. Looking at the title, I mistaked it to refer to how wrinkled he is.

We need a pro-McCain song that sounds like funky cafe music, alternative rock or avant-garde. That may get smart people to like him. Let's hire Dave Mathews to write one, or perhaps Bono. McCain already has enough country fans voting for him.
