electric "jolts" feeling in head, weight loss, anger I would not recommend that anyone EVER take this medication! It landed me in the hospital for 3 weeks with a diagnosis of bipolar mania. It made me realize what a mess our medical system is and how poorly people who need help are treated. No trust in our system at this point.

The worst kind of hell imaginable. I was off of this drug for 4 months without a hint of relief from the withdrawl symptoms. I was scared for my life and at the same time wanted to die..... Furthermore, every doctor I saw told me that Paxil isn't addictive. **FRUSTRATION** Hated it!

cloudy thinking, extreme fatigue, suicidal ideation, emotional numbness to everything, loss of interest and creativity, extreme depression, dizziness, vertigo, space-outs,...DO NOT MIX WITH ALCOHOL!!! I took Paxil for four months and took myself off of it for its side effects. Whenever I drank with the medication, the side effects intensified. When I quit the medication, it was horrible. I experienced electrical shocks, extreme dizziness, extreme depression and ended up in the hospital for a suicide attempt.

. total zombie, vivid dreams to the extent that I could not differentiate between real and dream when i woke up, almost zero sex drive, total inability to orgasm, very frustrating, should not be sold, snake oil. how this crap got approved is probably criminal

My sister died last year while on Paxil. While it wasn't the only medication she was taking, I'm sure it played a huge part.

I am very sorry for your sister's death and for your family's great loss. Most people in the USA are on multiple kinds of drugs including harmless sounding cough and cold medications. Why can't the general public see this? Is it just the ads that make them seem so warm and friendly? I often feel like I am in a nightmare. I have suffered in my own family..I still question my father's death. I have seen more than I care to see. I spoke with a lawyer who is knowledgeable and he agreed that many doctors will lie about the cause of death to make things easier. I have a list of the drug's he was on for cholesterol and depression and others and I saw up close that he suffered from many of the side effects in the askapatient data base. It was horrifying to watch him die up close. He was diagnosed with cancer. I don't really know if it was only the cancer.-
