Seems the age old treatment of shocking the shit out of someone's brain to drive the demons out , oh sorry I mean “treat depression” because the drugs aren't cutting it is back in fashion. Guess we should keep our eye out for leaching at the local pharmacy next. The article says that this treatment induces GRAND MALL SEZURES! That can't be healthy for anyone. I think the fact that the American Psychiatric Association endorses this barbaric method of dealing with patients who do not respond to being doped up is the most troubling. By all accounts this treatment is akin to a long term lobotomy. It includes short and long term memory loss and inability to concentrate on tasks.
