Despite adamant denials by both the White House and the CIA, journalist Ron Suskind Wednesday stood by his allegation that the Bush administration concocted a fake letter purporting to show a link between Saddam Hussein's regime and al-Qaida as a justification for the Iraq war. "It's all on the record," Suskind told Meredith Vieira on TODAY.

When someone tells you a lie.....they are telling you something you want to hear......if not you would not listen or participate.....there was a very thought out agenda.....evil as can be....that has transpired since George Bush and Dick Cheney have been placed in the White House....I do not believe that the truth will ever see the light of day.....Bush and Cheney are puppets.....and as I have said before.....not even good ones......puppets are tools......find the puppet masters.....and stop them from doing even more evil.....they love to turn the tide when it is not flowing their way........Golden Ruler.......Johnnie Hargrave..........

Look, there is only one sure-fire way to go to the truth. Let's strip Bush and Cheney naked, put dog collars around their necks, waterboard them and hold them in "stress positions" for 6 months. If by that point they still maintain their innocence we will know that they have not been broken yet and an additional 6 months of aggressive interrogation methods are required.
What?
It's good enough for everyone else but not for Bush?
Surely if Bush has nothing to hide then the waterboarding will only help prove his innocence.
If he were truly innocent then he'd should VOLUNTEER to be waterboarded and interogated. -
crob80227.......it is the Golden Rule in action.....great idea....do not do something to someone else you would not want done to yourself......we should vote on it.....no that would not work....they count the votes.......Golden Ruler.....Johnnie Hargrave................

I'm still of the opinion that much of what we're seeing played out now was concocted in Texas back in the late 80's to early 90's while "GHWB" was still in office.
If all had gone as planned, the next "B" to take office would've been Jeb. That won't happen now.
The empire is finished...unless, of course, we're stuck with "McC". Then, the lies will stay intact and nothing will be done to stop those who played important roles in screwing most US citizens into the ground.
We may never see another "B" in charge but, the stench of deceit will remain for decades to come.
What a legacy. -
Hope this story stays alive. Watergate was just a small story initially. Bush and Co. should be impeached and imprisoned. Kudos to Suskind for standing his ground!

I look forward to the PBS documentary years from now that reaffirms everything we already know.

While I appreciate people like this telling the truth, I can't shake the nagging feeling of anger that stems from the fact that it took him (and others like him) SEVEN FUCKING YEARS to come out with it...

I got an idea!!!!! Lets all go buy the book and read for ourselfs.

I guess the primary reason I believe this is because I believe Bush/Cheney are the kind of people that would do it. They are not honest men. They are not good men. They aren't even clever men. They are thieves and murderes who have been enabled by a Repbulican Party that's underwritten by corporate America, and a democratic party that allowed itself to be cowed into silence. IF our democracy survives, these last eight years will be seen as our darkest hours. In time, Bush and Cheney will not be remembered as the worst two men that ever led the country. Rather, they will be utterly forgotten, their names and misdeeds tossed into the dustbin of history remembered intermittently by history teachers as an example of the worst goverment we ever had. This will be the Bush/Cheney legacy.
