    • It is horrible that there are wait lists for any medical condition and yet there are. Who knows what is underlying this story? I do not feel I have enough information. I know that I have worked with families who however well meaning they intend to be are so abrasive and angry or confrontational that it inhibits relationship building.

I am not accusing the parents of that here. The article just doesn't give enough information. I do wonder why the parents don't go where they feel there would be less of a wait if it is possible to do so.

    • There's nothing necessarily wrong with this. It's the doctor's prerogative to decline to treat someone. It means they have no confidence that they are able to help the patient. It's far better to refuse to treat someone than to make their condition worse.
