oreo4sho, please note that he is being held IN Florida by FEDERAL AUTHORITIES. This just happened to occur in Florida.
As far as his weapons go, all are legal. The Bill of Rights is, somewhat, still in effect.

My prediction, the major media outlets will flock towards the Obama threat and ignore the Bush threat, effectively inflating false racial issue.

Sadly I'm afraid that this will be the first of many threats of this nature. But I rest assured that if the Secret Service can keep Bush safe with all the people who hate him, then they can keep Obama safe.

Even Hillary made a nice subtle assassination statement that was played off as an accident---prior to the summer.

Obama has probably received vicious hate mail that he doesn't speak about. A single man that is caught can't be the only one that has been ignorant enough to make such a semi-idle threat.

This is frightening. I think many presidents and candidates are threatened. I just have heard a lot more related to Obama being black. I think there is still an undercurrent of racism in this country and it is disturbing.

Don't be quick to jump to conclusions. The guy denies any wrong doing, as far as I am concerned he is innocent until proven quilty. Besides if you go back to conversations you've had with friends think of how many times you have threatened to harm a president or candidate. All in all it could have been a comical statement, although I must say the possession of some much arsenal does look bad.

It was only a matter of time before this happened. I agree, he is innocent until proven guilty, but I think the fact that his weapons were legal is really irrelevant if he intended to use them in a harmful manner.

to begin with ignatius... you dont tell me what i can say or defend...IF you read ALL my post i aso said I dont condone doing any harm because of race only ....no matter who it is..maybe you are trying to tell me that i have to hate him?? and you think you have that much control??? think again..IF the law lets him free or he raises enough from his friends.. then he will be free its not for you or to say its up to the courts..but you CAN protest it ..thats your only choice...
