US soldiers jailed for Bush's crimes

Image...
The US Department of Defense removed seventeen soldiers and officers from duty, and seven soldiers were charged with dereliction of duty, maltreatment, aggravated assault and battery. Between May 2004 and September 2005, seven soldiers were convicted in courts martial, sentenced to federal prison time, and dishonorably discharged from service. Two soldiers, Specialist Charles Graner, and his former fiancé, Specialist Lynndie England, were sentenced to ten years and three years in prison, respectively, in trials ending on January 14, 2005 and September 26, 2005. The commanding officer at the prison, Brigadier General Janis Karpinski, was demoted to the rank of Colonel on May 5, 2005. Col. Karpinski has denied knowledge of the abuses claiming that the interrogations were authorized by her superiors and performed by subcontractors, and that she was not even allowed entry into the interrogation rooms.

From documents recently uncovered, we have learned who is in fact responsible for those crimes yet those 7 soldiers are still in prison. When will we do something?

I like how the commanding officer, who had made the soldiers do what they did, only got demoted while the soldiers all were imprisoned.

The soldiers were just puppets trained to do what they were told and now they are in prison for doing their job (what they are told to do).

The soldiers should have been dishonorably discharged and the commanding officer should be imprisoned for 10 years.

This justice system has fallen so decrepit thanks to one man and his cronies.
One requirement for becoming president should be knowing the definition of the word integrity.

Honestly knowing this crap goes on makes me feel sick and deeply depressed.

Although some soldiers pride themselves on it, this just goes to show you that blind obedience isn't always rewarded.

Any Government that Tortures Is A Criminal Government.

Ok I know I'm gonna get shit for this but here goes nothing. I think saying that anyone, short of threat to their own life and only then because I find it hard to insist some one die to save me and not themselves, that commits torture or aids and abets others who torture people deserve to be punished to the full extent of the law. Yes those responsible for ordering it to be done should most definitely be punished but so should those who did the deed and any who knowingly helped. If we were talking about an organized crime syndicate that had conspired to kidnap and torture someone and then had others carry out said plan we would not only bring those responsible for the planing and instigation of said crime to justice but also those lower level thugs who had done the dirty work. We would certainly have no discussion of letting them of because they had been ordered to do it by there superiors. I am not anti-military, I am a descendant of a long line of men and women that served this country. However, when you don that uniform you not only take on the burden of defending the people of this nation but the burden of doing it while upholding this nations highest ideals. The argument is often made that solders must follow the chain of command but I would say any command only has legitimacy so long as it upholds the basic tenants of human decency. Another is that in certain situations a solder could be risking his or her life trying to stand up to human rights abuses frankly fear of dieing is a rather weak excuse for someone who's profession is combat. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.  The decision to follow others blindly does not release you from responsibility for your own actions.

Sometimes you have to stand up against orders that you know are wrong. You have to think and do what is right.

That may make you a bad soldier but being a good human is more important sometimes.

Especially when your orders come from a corrupt source.

This is never easy. Especially when you are alone.

The american public and media are always quick to chant "support the troops" but when the time comes when these men and women truly need this support, they are suspiciously alone.

How can you expect these people to make the "right" decision when their countrymen will not be there to support them?

I find Bush disgusting but in this video clip he is right.

Congress has allowed these crimes. Or rather, the american people have allowed them.

Congress is elected to voice YOUR will. The president commands the military but cannot go to war without the consent of congress.

This is a way of keeping a rogue president in check.

Members of Congress should live in fear for their jobs and yet you do NOTHING!!!

Tell me, if you did not do your job correctly what would happen? You'd be fired.

Yet the congress does not reflect the will of the american people and they still make $165,200 with benefits!!

Where are your patriots? How can these politicians move freely amongst you without fearing for their lives?

They shit all over your freedom and liberty and you do nothing!!!

For fuck's sake TAKE CONTROL!!! Force them to do what is right!!!

Your congress are the elected officials that are in place for you to control a president gone crazy.

    THEY REPRESENT YOUR WILL!!!

I've got news for you america, you have a fucking rogue president.

Many more planes will crash into your buildings if you do not stop the crimes your country is committing.

When the people you are victimizing come back for revenge will you act surprised?

This is a wake-up call. Even your president is blaming YOU!!!

Your fucking congress (YOUR VOICE) is allowing the murder, rape and torture of innocent people.

Somebody is going to pay for these crimes.

Do you really want more planes crashing into your buildings?

When Bush says "we passed the law" The "WE" is YOU the AMERICAN PEOPLE.

    YOU ARE TO BLAME.

Guess who is going to pay dearly for it in the next few years?

Bush will be making millions in oil and sitting on boards of directors for MNCs while your children are getting killed.

For fucks sake wake up! Take control before it's too late.

Americans wanted a cowboy for a president and that is what they received. At this juncture I believe a person would be hard pressed to find anyone who believes that these orders did not come from the top. Further, at this point I am tired of hearing about it.... thankfully Bush will be out of office in less than a year and hopefully the craziness will come to an end. however, I state that will a fair bit of reserve because if McCain wins nothing will change.

If we do not like it, why do we keep paying their taxes why are we contusing to pretend that their elections matter or are even honest? The world is like OZ. Nothing you see is real. If you dig any deeper than the appearance you will find another layer of lies propagated by machines of the system that are not even aware the crap they're dealing is a lie. Wake up! There are wealthy and powerful men in pretty suits sending our children off to fight their battles while they pervert the election process to most resemble a twisted mutation of the Super Bowl half time show and the Home Shopping Network, all for ego and profit.

It is time to take back our country, our rights and our dignity and stop playing games of risk and fortune while such a huge portion of the planets population are stuck in poverty and ignorance. We spend billions researching how to get off this planet and colonize the stars. Let us do the galaxy a favor and stay put until we figure out how to feed our selves.

The opening ceremonies for the Olympics were spectacular, I'm sure we could have educated and fed several thousand Chinese families for several years for what was spent on fireworks alone. But at least the pictures were pretty.

Are you starting to see the problem? We live in a world where people care what paris hilton does. We are living in a world where people are offend by breasts and inspired by violence. Two guys making love disgusts but disemboweling the enemy exhilarates. WTF?

Wake up! Our future is in our hands and has nothing to do with color of the tie of some candidate in some side chow called a campaign. Stop choosing sides and start choosing to make a difference.

I suggest that Iloveravi address the problems with Canada and the indigenous population there, before supposing solutions for the U.S.

    Moonloon,

You are right. There is a need for wider discussion on the treatment of the First Nations Community.

I'm actually involved in that in several ways here in Canada.

If you want to start a discussion an that topic I encourage you to do so.

But what the hell does that have to do with this topic?

Excellent question. When is Bush going to pay for the crimes he's done instead of hiding behind the troops while claiming he supports them?

My congressional rep (Sestak) says the evidence isn't in and it would shut down the government. I say that's crap.

We need prosecute Bush and try him for war crimes!

My opinion based on what I see from the picture of Bush
laughing, and his comment: "We do not torture" is that
Bush JR is a psychotic war criminal. That is,he appears
to have a profile of Obsession, delusions of grandeur
and is a pathological liar. To laugh as though someone
told a good natured humorous joke while referring to a
denial of his evil, is depraved. But then, what kind of
reality contact would anyone have if they deliberately
launched a War against 3 countries for the purpose of
building an oil pipeline there to make him/Cheny multi
Billionaires like the Saudi Bin Laden oil magnates they
serve...,Having all the while duped the Press,Public and Congress into using other peoples money to finance the
venture...,While parading around as though nothing
could ever touch him for making wrongful deaths
valued at a penny apiece??? Bush JR makes the evil
clown Edgar Casey look like a choir boy by comparison.
One look at that picture & caption says a thousand
words, but to sum it up: "Possessed by the Devil" will do
