"Actor/comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital," his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement from Los Angeles.

Damn.
His was one of the most refreshing, creative and funny "SitComs" on tv.
He will be sorely missed.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and his many, many fans...of which, I was certainly one. -
I'm gonna miss him.

Damn damn damn, he was such a great entertainer!!! I am very sad to read this, his performances always made me laugh, he transcended tv and stand-up.... Thank god he was born but it is so sad to see him go.
