The Scarlet Project, a website dedicated to scandal and gossip at the University of Nebraska, broke the story of two star members of the school wrestling team whose nude pictures were found on a gay porn site.

One of them, Paul Donahoe, is a 125-pound national champion wrestler; his teammate, 133-pound Kenny Jordan, is a two-time state wrestling champion in the state of Illinois and also a national junior college 133-pound wrestling champion.

In their report, the Scarlet Project, says that an anonymous source informed them about the pictures. Subsequently the story was picked up by the local Omaha television stations and the Associated Press.

Head wrestling coach Mark Manning released the following statement: "We are aware of the matter and it is being reviewed internally. We will have no further comment until all of the facts of the situation are known."

    • Talk about the perfect case for making someone homophobic, imagine the poor corn-fed wrestlers who are now paranoid as hell their teammates or opponents are actually corn-holers.

Beyond that, I have no respect for people who sell sex acts for money. It is tantamount to prostitution, and these guys have seriously tarnished the University's reputation.

The gay angle on the story just makes it just that much more wrong.

Most college students need more money, but most keep their respect and dignity and get a regular job. Using "they needed the money" is unacceptable.

    • This shouldn't be news (they're adults, free to make as much gay porn as they like, after all), but I'm happy to see them so happy in their photos. 'Look and me and love me, lads!' says his little cheesy grin.

Hoo! That smiley is close to the line though. I can almost see ball.

    • These kind of story always go to the top at Current.com over and over.

      I wonder why ?

      Actually, I don't

Good valuable stories rarely go to the top.

      Another gossip media outlet

I got interested originally because the business format was interesting and had potential

      I rarely visit current anymore

    • The real question is, who was the bible thumper that went and looked at this gay porn site to break the story?

Also, just to clarify for some people in here, these people aren't gay. They just posed nude for a gay site to make some cash. Doesn't really matter, but it's an important factual distinction.

The real story here is how many college students are entering porn to pay for their debts.

    • Why the long smiley face? PS-what's the problem? If they didn't use the university's website, then who cares what the head coach has to say? If it's being reviewed internally, then when does the investigation into the lives of the faculty begin?

    • um...spandex...sexy.

whatever. if they are of age and they weren't forced or drugged and made to do it, then they knew what they were doing. it stinks that they have to deal with people who don't go on that website knowing about it, but thats the price you should be willing to pay if you put yourself on the internet.

    • They did this because they get more money from a Gay website than they would a straight one.

And they are in a University that most likely takes a lot of money and the money to do the porn is HIGH enough for them to be no a gay website knowing that there is a chance they'll be found out by someone from said University.

I think it's stupid for anyone to be in porn. I feel really bad that their situation is such that that is the job or something that they think is worth doing. If I found someone I knew on a porn site or knew that they did it by accident via someone else's comments or posting I wouldn't bother telling anyone that knew said person. They are already doing something that they don't want everyone to know (that know them) and they are doing it because they need the money bad and I would not make it worse by informing someone about their endeavors.

I feel bad for them now....like really bad. People ostracizing them them.

    • what I find interesting are all the names posting that have been away from this site for quite a while. As for the content of the story, "it's not my buisness"

Homophobes unite.....in Utah or somewhere else.

    • So what? Does this have anything to do with their athletic ability? Did they sign an agreement stating they would not be involved in porn if part of the University? No. This is just gossip trash. It's like saying "Football Player X drinks a lot on the weekend!" which surely happens and somehow doesn't qualify as scandal.

This is stuff these dudes are doing in their personal lives. Let them do what they want. I suppose it's "news" and a "scandal" to idiots because the guys are gay.

    • The fact that these guys are jocks is probably the reason they have such nice bodies to begin with. And whats wrong with a little "eye candy" ? Paul Donahoe is really cute. Who knows, this may even open some new doors for them.

    • Yes, I'm sure. Also, most gays do not indulge in anal intercourse but prefer frottage.

Why are you bringing Iran in this conversation? And where my friends come from, and where I come from, is none of your nosy business.

    • Sure? What you don't know is that your "Gay" friends probably carry a anal sphincter injury and makes them change their diet. Soft meals, high vegetables, more liquids.

Hey, how do you have Gay friends in places like Iran!?

    • Wow! Gay people in a sport? You would think they were everywhere or something.

Who cares? I don't know how homophobic the sport is, but I know the bible belt is. I just hope that they can be strong enough and find the right support through the brunt of the prejudice.

    • How do their sexual endeavors or interests relate to their school activities?
It's a shame that this is a "scandal" and they will likely be ostracized.
Just think of what sexual interests and adventures the staff might engage in after hours. It'd be nice if everyone could simply mind their own business...

    • Just because they're on a gay website does not mean they are gay. Most gay porn actors aren't (they get paid HUGE amounts of money).

BTW, I don't get why wrestlers are called gay. Only if you're homophobic would you see it that way.

    • At least it can't be accused of the double-standard. It does satisfy the equal time that many were asking for.

The feminists should take comfort in the fact that men get objectified also and that pictures of guys are just as entertaining to people.

I guess there is less to cover with that smiley face than there would be with an image of breasts. But people still seem to have the same reaction to it.

So it's all sex that sells not just a certain minority that is singled out for exploitation

    • I think what makes this story interesting is the fact that it is perceived as scandalous and newsworthy in the first place. For some reason, the idea of hypermasculine students on the wrestling team stripping for money on a gay porn site is shocking enough not only to make it onto the university's gossip website, which is understandable, but also onto the local news and beyond. While the story as such is arguably not newsworthy, the fact that the idea of 'masculine' and assertive men selling their bodies for pictures intended for other men is still shocking enough to inspire such outrage does seem quite relevant and is certainly worthy of attention and discussion.

But there are literally thousands of other "porn stars" in the world. All of them were born to someone and grew up somewhere; many of them went to college. We need to accept the fact that this exists in society and move on. Live and let live.

    • Tricia Helfer of Battlestar Galatica posed nude in Playboy. OMG! It's a scandle! Adults choosing to be adults and do adult things while having a somewhat public life. Was someone hurt by this "crime"? What these guys did doesn't change the fact they are wrestlers. They are probably still wrestlers. And if they aren't, they are looking for money in all the paying places.

I suppose it quite possibly would...

(I'm disgusted with myself at how pleasing THAT piece of news would have been in comparison...but c'est la vie)

    • Wouldn't be news if this weren't the bible belt and if these weren't athletes. A lot of pressure has been put on athletes to put out a front and there is still alot of stigma in sports and in the region.I hope these two don't loose scholarships.

Yeah, seriously? How come when they're nude chicks, they have black bars, but when they're dudes, they have smiley faces? It's not exactly creepy, but since this is a PORN scandal, a little professionalism would be appreciated.
