Now when I first heard the news back in April - I couldn’t believe it……I said to myself “Hmmmm….I wonder what the collection would look like”, and thanks to my favorite PR rep Laura….I got the goods in my email box. Reebok has teamed up with Hasbro to set fourth of unveiling a totally new sneaker experience inspired by one of the world’s most popular board game….yup, you’ve guessed it….MONOPOLY. The Reebok x Hasbro Monopoly footwear collection is set to be released late this month - which coincides with the highly anticipated release of Hasbro’s MONOPOLY Here & Now” The World Edition board game. The MONOPOLY footwear collection by Reebok will feature a cool variety of different styles for both adults as well as children, and will be available as selected mall based retailers across the globe.
The first models to drop in the collection will pay tribute to the MONOPOLY game itself, along with the global recognition that it has obtained over the years. The collection itself is set to debut worldwide in late August - which will include the Reverse Jam designs and will be priced at $40 for toddlers / $85 for men’s sizes. The women’s Courtee styles will be available in both a mid & low cut, and will be priced between $75-$80. Slated for November will be the second series - which will consist of a collection dedicated to the MONOPOLY games metal icons.
So far I think that the collection in itself is pretty innovated even for Reebok. I would love to see what the entire series looks like in person…before I put my initial stamp on the entire collection.
