The idea came out of the Model Health Inquiry, set up by the BFC in March last year to investigate health problems suffered by models in the British fashion industry, following a furore over "size zero" super-skinny models.
New York, Paris and Milan -- other centres of the fashion industry -- have said the plan is unworkable.
So another year of malnourished models in expensive clothes. Is this fashionable?

Oh that’s a pity! I definitely don’t think ‘size zero’ models are attractive at all! Everyone knows that the media’s obsession with thin fashion models has a profound negative effect among young girls and men worldwide. The fashion industry needs to make a change and associate fashion with more “realistic" body shapes.

Fashion is about fantasy, imagination and an ideal beauty that has very little to do with the reality of what people look like. Instead of worrying and trying to control what models are chosen for fashion shows, it would make more sense to make people understand that they cannot and are not expected to live up to these ideals.

I agree with JanaPokana.
A fashion show is not supposed to set an example. It's not an accurate portrayal of the human race and its sizes, and it doesn't show what ordinary people will be wearing.
In short, a fashion show has nothing to with reality and that's why they're called models, not role models.

I agree with skyla.
I mean yes it's like a fantasy but people seem not to be able to distinguish reality and fantasy anymore. Look at videogames and people taking that to far. The same can easily be said about runway models. They prance around during fashion shows, now you have all these reality shows about models, its just not healthy. Only bad things come of it.
