I'd say, this is damned important and worthy of action.

It'd be nice to get candid answers from Government for a change, rather than always hearing the "spin".

Bren589. I've already received two responses, one of which helped me decide that they won't have my backing.
For some, it really matters. -
thats such a cool site

Thank you Huntre.

Two weeks left.14 days. If someone aspires to become a public servant they should be able to answer simple questions about important issues that concern their constituents. Maybe they need a slight nudge. If you don't ask the answer is automatically no. Have you talked to them lately? Focus and vote.
-
If it were so?
-
I just received a form reply from my rep a day ago about an issue I thought was important. I was happy with the promptness.
But hey representatives, you guys only have 14 days to get crackin'! -
Thanks for pitchin' in.
Anything we can do helps.
It's what we don't do that hurts...all of us. -
Hi huntre,
This is an excellent site!! In fact, I just added it to StumbleUpon and I was the first person to discover it (thanks to you).
Will definitely try it out.
-
Oh wow, thanks man!
-
Excellent post Huntre, hopefully we'll all follow through on this. Florida posts primaries haven't started yet so I bookmarked the page to follow up.

I just want anyone who looks this site over to ask themselves...
"How many opportunities do I get to contact all of my state candidates about environmental issues that concern me and see some form of response so I know where they stand to make my best voting decisions?"
That's why I think it matters. -
I think we should do everything possible to produce clean low cost energy including nuclear power plants.
Many people disagree with me on this issue but the facts are facts, safety is an issue here. But getting answers from the government (quality answers) would be a move in the right direction. Thanks for the heads up. -
If this post never made it to the front page, I wouldn't mind.
If I managed to get just one person to go check out this site, it was well worth it.
I'm here to meet a personal goal by helping make a difference in society (and cause a giggle or two along the way).
The fact that Current staffers have seen fit to acknowledge my actions in the past tells me that, sometimes, I make valid contributions.
That's pretty cool.
Who doesn't like the occasional pat on the back for encouragement, eh?
Keep posting, campers. -
Wow. Thanks for to everyone for checking out the site. I'm with NRDC Action Fund, and we built this site. I'm doing the best I can to get the word out, and I'm psyched to see that folks here at Current are checking it out. We've got hundreds of voters who have participated already, and hundreds of requests have been sent to campaigns across the country. I'm hearing from voters who are telling me their candidates are taking the survey and emailing them directly with detailed answers to the questions. I'm hearing from candidates who have heard about the site and want to take the survey, even before anyone asks them to!
This is exciting, and I'm happy to see everyone taking part. Please tell your friends and vote this post up. The more attention this gets, the more responses well get from the candidates.

Good site and I will participate, only... why is it continuing to ask candidates about 80% reductions by 2050 when we already know that is too late? And why doesn't it ask candidates if they back Al Gore's 10 year challenge to get 100% renewable energy in 10 years? I suppose I will ask them that myself. Thanks.

JfG? Good questions. Go for it.
Thanks for getting in the mix.
