The current administration and the Republican hopeful administration have found another way to scare Americans into submission. Russia is supposedly poised to run through Georgia straight to Iran to secure the oil and military prowess before Israel or the US can get there.
Basically Russia got a little nervous about the US pushing not only democracy but NATO membership to a country directly adjacent to their southern border. Before you go waving the flag claiming patriotism, freedom and advocation warming up the cold war consider what you'd think if China, Russia or Iran decided to champion Mexico in an effort for governmental reform and alliance with something equivalent to the Warsaw Pact.
