Andrew's stories about working in the studio with Lee are totally crazy!!! What is he talking about though--silence as a way of communicating?! I guess the key is that it may be most effective in a creative space, but maybe not an office...
That drum story is amazing though. They should sell that kick drum in stores.

I like reggae music, but don't know much about Lee Perry. He seems interesting. Check out his myspace and watch his "2 Minutes With Mr. Perry" episodes. You'll see what I mean.

In case hearing Andrew speak makes you crave his music, here's the epic video for "She is Beautiful."

I wish more artists would collaborate across genres, I think it gives albums and tracks an interesting and unique sound.

i'm not impressed with this shit - garbage . it cheapens him . none of this crap will ever be considered an asset to legacy . Scratch is a god , and this "collaborative" BS is just more hollywood style trash . he shouldn't have done it . i'm sure he had fun , but it's still shit .

i think it great that the originator of dub is still being dubwise in this new music market... it is impressive that "scratch" is still a forward thinking individual willing to work outside the box that people have always tried to put him in and he always made sure to step right outside of it...

I just read an interview with Lee Scratch Perry in Earplug where he says that Andrew WK screwed him and released tracks from the album early without his blessing. By the sounds of it, AWK might have gotten a little carried away with his title of Producer on this one...
