Personally, I'm rooting for Joe Biden. 'Cause he's kinda crazy, and I like that.

    I'd prefer Joe Biden to Evan Bayh, and I think Tim Kaine, though I like him, is too problematic. But I'm starting to think Hillary Clinton might be a good idea. I don't like her much, but Lyndon Johnson was a bastard and he was a good VP. But those are just the big names. If political circumstances weren't a major consideration, I'd like Russ Feingold, Bill Richardson, and Jim Webb.

    The VP position as an attack dog hearkens back to the days when Nixon did that for Eisenhower, but it really only was used recently in the current administration.

    The idealist me would rather see it be more of an advisory position, but I can't overlook the utility of the attacker.
