He said there has been no communication so far with either vessel, but a multi-coalition naval force in the areas has been informed, and "is taking action." The naval force includes the United States, France, Germany, Pakistan, Britain and Canada, which currently holds the rotating command.

This is just terrifying. It also makes me wonder where these pirates think they are going with two huge ships. It must be really easy to catch them or am I missing something here?

Pirates attempted to do the same thing a few months ago to a Cruise ship, unsuccessfully thanks to "Less Than Leathel" sound guns. Sounds like a good investment in these waters.
