iTunes ‘banned’ in China after protest album stunt

Ok, this is pretty breaking news. Apparently Apple’s iTunes has been blocked by “the great firewall of China” (awesome name btw), as a reaction to a pro-tibetan album that’s been getting really popular there. To be more exact The Art of Peace Foundation’s Songs for Tibet compilation, featuring tracks by Alanis Morissette, Sting, Moby and 17 more artists.

It's getting so bad that you can't even say the word "Tibet" in public in China without getting in trouble.

Do the chinese "netizens" really enjoy having everything banned/censored/covered up? What happened to freedom of choice? If I was a chinese citizen, i'd be WORRIED for all that the little things the government declares are wrong...

-but then again maybe thats the point... and maybe the chinese government is winning in that reguard...
