Fake illness preacher Michael Guglielmucci told to go to police

Image...
"Disgraced pastor Michael Guglielmucci has been ordered to report to police by church officials, who will investigate what has happened to money raised during his terminal cancer deception.

The Australian Christian Churches told The Advertiser yesterday that it was auditing Mr Guglielmucci's bank accounts, which included money donated from people touched by his hit song Healer.

Mr Guglielmucci confessed his two-year fraudulent cancer battle at a national executive meeting of the ACC on Saturday, and was stripped of his credentials."

Typical of fake-ass religious freaks who preach a whole lot but do not practice. Horrible that he is using something as serious as cancer to steal from people. The world goes round... he should keep that in mind.

So it seems that the Ausies are becoming Americanized...(?) , picking at least the bad habits... seems to be like a disease spreading worldwide! Info on the videos on the link to a page on my web I've started. You'll wish you had seen them sooner.

I find it incredibly interesting that the majority of people getting MOST overwraught and vocal about the Mike Guglielmucci fraud...
    1. Are NOT Christians.
    2. Slam Christians for spending / donating their money in ways that are meant to benefit OTHERS, rather than themselves.
    3. Make more and more outrageous claims about people, places and situations they CLEARLY know nothing about
    4. Derive enjoyment from the pain of others.

Before you go jumping down my throat, pause for a moment and genuinely consider this:
What if your most private, embarrassing and shameful secret was reported all over the world???

Now, those of you without any dirty habits, shameful secrets or troubled pasts...continue to 'crucify' a man who is possibly at the lowest point of his entire life.

Nothing can defend what Mike has done. Can anything really defend the bad things that the rest of us have done???

BTW - aren't written defamatory statements called "Libel"??? And isn't libel a criminal or civil offence???

Just a thought - you might ALL want to check your facts before spouting off about who lives where, who is the pastor of what, who earns what, who doesn't pay taxes, etc...

And while you're at it, how about YOU get out there and feed the hungry, clothe the needy, sponsor a child here OR overseas (instead of buying that new iPhone / plasma TV / latte, etc) and stop bagging the people who put their time AND money where their mouths are to attempt to help people less fortunate than themselves.

It seems to me that the ones who shout the loudest are often the ones who do nothing for anyone but themselves.

    Just an observation.

Let me finish by quoting Charles Darwin:

The highest possible stage in moral culture is when we recognize that we ought to control our thoughts.

This is in response to your comment Amanda. I really hope you take this into consideration and can see the bigger picture here.

Now you mention that we all have dirty little secrets or shameful secrets. I don't debate with you on that one, sometimes I forget to wash my hands when I go to the bathroom. An then theres an example of a hypothetical 'shameful secret' that perhaps someone slept with their bestfriends boyfriend. This a one time things that are bad yes, but I think forgivable and not really affecting anyone besides keeping clean and say your best friend. So I don't think a majority of the worlds populations dirty little secret is that they have been faking cancer for an extended period of time (2 years to be exact). You need to consider the steepness of the situation here. What Mike Guglielmucci did was a little more than revealing a bad habit. He faked terminal cancer for 2 years, it's inexcuseable.

To another one of your points: You spoke of punishment and that we should not crucify him. Now look don't be wild here, knowone saif anything about crucifixion, although I understand it was a figure of speech. But what the point is here, is that I and many others are angrily debating that Mr. Guglielmucci need to face the law because he is not above the law, as human we are ALL equal under the law.

Now you're a correct about Defamation being a civil offence, it falls under the Civil torts, a feature of civil law. But perhaps you haven't researched enough for yourself, as a criminal case pertains to this particular case : FRAUD, it is a very very serious criminal charge that is only heard in the higher courts, and the element of fraud that this falls into is "gaining goods/funds through deception". It's a CRIMINAL OFFENCE, perhaps you should of 'checked your facts'. A murderer doesn't get off because the judge feels it must be a part of a 'dirty habit', a theif isn't exempt because it's a dirty habit of theirs, all peoples are to be held under out law, and this man is no excuse.

Now the field of work Mr Guglielmucci entered into when he was at ministry school was to study to be a Pastor, and a somewhat unspoken job of the pastor is to promote helping the 'needy' and 'clothing the sick'. So I think by accusing people of their ' lack' of aiding in the worlds problems is a little off topic when it comes to a respected member of the Christian community using his posistion of authority to fake cancer and gain symphathy and money from it.

I think you ought to, not so much 'control' your thoughts, but actually think and research "your thoughts" before expressing them on a public blog.

And i believe another contradiction lies in your argument. Point number 3: "Make more and more outrageous claims about people, places and situations they CLEARLY know nothing about". I think you may be speaking of yourself there, because obviously you know nothing of what you're talking about. Do you're research before expressing such nonsense. You know nothing about this, so don't pretend you do. I've heard this man speak and have a little more insight than you. So think real hard next time, oh and "check your facts"
