It's shameful that American politics, and subsequently the most important election of (at least) this generation, may come down to garbage like this.

Yes, despite the meager effort of the candidates to avoid personal attacks, we're going to see a lot of mud slinging in the months ahead...the moral is, the more dirt the easier it is to bury the opponent...
-
All I can say is that Obama is much cleaner than McCain. When they start slinging mud McCain will be buried in it much deeper and faster than Obama. The Keating scandal comes to mind real fast. No one remembers the weathermen but dirty bank dealings are fresh in everyone's mind. They should have chosen another track. Everything they try comes back to bite them on the ass. A person that has eight houses trying to call a man with one house an elitist turned out well for them didn't it? Let me see, does Obama have a crippled wife somewhere that he dumped? Maybe they can drag out Obama's crazy preacher again, Maybe not he wasn't any nuttier than the preachers McCain aligned himself with. Oh dear I guess they are going to have to depend on lies.

One major flaw with Barack Obama is he does not realize that when runningfor President of the United States of America, he should not associate with people who hate the USA. If Barack Obama loves America so much and is so unquestionably patriotic, like he claims, why does he have so many people close to him who are against America?
-
Oh you mean like the people who want never ending war, or want to drill off the coasts and protected areas of our country with no thought to what happened to Alaska? I'm emailing him and warning him to stay the Hell away from McCain.
-
mjsmith11, I wasn't aware of the fact that so many Republicans are close to Barack Obama. Do you have any links to back this assertion?
-
Perhaps the dirtiest.

MJ, I doubt that if you care for your country and are running for President of the US, you should really ignore or even spite who ever apparently 'hates America'. That leads to the hate. Who is'nt resolving who hates America in general whether they're American themself or are foriegn, if you either ignore them or spite them that's when thing's get ugly.
hmm, McCain and Obama are getting real rowdy towards each other now? ....mot sure what's going tohappen there mind, prehaps they're going to out do each other with ads featureing celebrities?
To be honest, if I was an American voter, I'd have no clue! I personally don't really want any of these people to gain any statas of power! The're just so repeditive and I can't see where it'll end, 'Who'll win?' hopefuly, not any of them!

What I love is that McCain is going to have more money and HE'S RUNNING AS A CLEAN ELECTIONS CANDIDATE!!!

i haven't the slightest clue about how the rest of the world feels at this point. All I know for sure is;
1. The speeches sound like Renaissance prose
2. Unemployment has a terrible momentum
3. Were still at War
4. Were trying with immense desperation to start another
5. Parents and children are completely disconnected from one another
6. We are disconnected from one another(even this lovely "Current" society)
7. Our innovation is not even nationally recognized
8. Our means to resolving issues are actions of closed fists and closed minds
9. The truth has become completely obscure
10. I love you guys. keep fighting the good fight
