DENVER - Authorities are investigating whether a man arrested with rifles, ammunition and drugs in his truck made statements threatening Barack Obama, but emphasize he never posed a "credible threat" to the candidate or the Democratic National Convention.-

omg... the problem isn't the man being a "credible threat," the problem is if he ever had the intention of shooting and killing the senator. why is our country so simple minded that we are still this racist?

Looks like some one was doing their job on this one. Problem is it won't be the last time. No, all Americans aren't racist. Some are a clueless lot but every nation has their fair share of those. This said, let's stay in the zone. If Sen Obama can keep doing his job then we have to do ours. Stay focused and vote.

U.S. Attorney Troy Eid, who said he may have more to say this afternoon, insisted that Obama and visitors for the Democratic National Convention were never in danger.

It's ironic,
The city of Denver gave its 4,000 homeless people free movie tickets, zoo & science museum passes, temp housing and even free haircuts! They did this to (reduce split ends) keep homeless off the streets. In order to keep the severe drugged up violent and armed people off the streets, Denver should provide them with plenty of good clean marijuana and a few movie or museum tics. It's only fair and hey, marijuana is decriminalized in Denver. When the DNC is over then I guess the city has to deal with these real problems.
And those methheads make protesters look like delegates!

First they stop one so they don't seem guilty and next they allow one because now they won't be at fault.

I don't think the assassination (JFK, RFK, Lincoln, King) were done by a soul person who had a single agenda of not liking someone.
I don't think there is an assassination in the history of the world that was done by one person for the sake of their dislike. I think that all assassinations spring from a group of people that want to push an agenda and so they use this single person to get what they hope they'll get.
I could just be wrong and having a bad feeling over nothing.....

Aurora police, on edge because of heightened security surrounding the Democratic convention in Denver, alerted federal authorities.
Three hours later, at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, federal agents arrested Nathan Johnson, 32, at a hotel in Denver. He was being held on drug charges, Dudley said.
A half-hour after that, 33-year-old Shawn Robert Adolf jumped from a sixth-story window when authorities tried to arrest him at a hotel in suburban Glendale, police said.

We're absolutely confident there is no credible threat to the candidate, the Democratic National Convention, or the people of Colorado," Eid said in a statement.
FBI spokeswoman Kathy Wright confirmed the FBI was investigating reports the man had threatened Obama, who will be in Denver this week to accept the Democratic nomination for president. The Joint Information Center — a command set up by city, state and federal authorities to field media inquiries during the Democratic convention — said it had no immediate comment.
