I'd like to know if DMV liscensed his viehicle. Many of us art car artists have given up on burning man because DMV licensing critera often excludes art cars that are street legal. It does not matter how much time was spent on it or how artistic the viehicle is. I have struggled in the past to have my art car "Drala Dragon Wagon" approved by the DMV. I have been told "it looks too much like a car" (when compared to others in the line at DMV). It dosen't matter if you used the original shape of the car as part of your design. I've seen many licensed mutant viehcles that are nothing more decorated golf carts or party floats that probably took less than a month to design and build. Last year DMV didn't even know where art car camp was or who Harrod Blank is. I think that it very unfortunate for art car artists that burning man has become an event for the well moneyed who can afford to own a viehcle that they built only for this event.

Not a bad idea... cover your car with pictures. That seems tame compared to some of the cars in Houston's "Art Car" parade.

I like the concept- I dig the accumulation of stories and the memento to trigger a trip about that occasion.
These are the feats and endeavors that keep you rooted when exercising your wings-

Art Car?????????
If you have a car you can call art you have to much money -
Very Impressive and awesome. It is something new and creative.
But you could have neat and clean clother and washed face.
I do not think that you cannot afford that. -
this is very true, however out there in the desert even if you do wash your face and put on clean clothes you still look dirty again like ten minutes later :) especially if you are actually out in it working.
neat photo car!

Money is an issue in all art, Horrod Blank (A friend back in the dayze) started before the laws stared becoming stricter ...when i go to DMV i never bring my art car ...they don't have to know.
Those who think it's a sign that someone has too much money you are clearly not an artist and therefore should shut up if you don't know what your talking about-
