Here're the stats:
"Just 65% of homes in the UK have internet access, totalling some 16.46 million households. Of that lot, 86% have broadband.
...
15% of those without the internet said it was due to them not being able to understand how it works."

Amazing stats. I thought everyone had internet and had no idea dial-up was still an option!

Two thirds of house holds being connected to the internet is actually a pretty good figure I think. The one third that don't have it could well be the generation gap, the generation who literally wouldn't know where to start.

I would have guesses that more people have internet access, but then again, there are a lot of older people that probably don't even know how to switch on a computer. Then again, there is Ivy Bean on Facebook who proves such stereotypes wrong ...

My 90-year-old grandfather is one of that 33% with no internet connection at home. He's never wanted to go 'on the line' for fear that he'll be deluged with porn. He believes that all the world's computers are magically connected to each other, and porn could just maliciously appear on his screen one day without him even touching a button. It's beautiful really.
