New figures show that a record number of over 60's in the UK got divorced in 2007.
The figure was 13,678 divorces, up over 1,000 from 2006. However, in an interesting twist, the total number of divorces in England and Wales was the lowest since 1976.

I think the reason it that there's simply more over 60's! However I think the "60 is the new 50" mindset also has someting to do with it, maybe people think they can actually have a life after 60.
