This will raise some eyebrows. Helen Mirren says she's been the victim of date-rape before, but if a woman says no at the last second, don't go whining your way into court.

CNN.com got a copy of a GQ story that's about to be published, in which Mirren calls date-rape a "tricky area," something best worked out between the parties.

Mirren says if a couple is heavy into sexual activity and the woman says "no" at the last second, technically it's rape, but, "I don't think she can have that man into court under those circumstances. I guess it is one of the subtle parts of the men/women relationship that has to be negotiated and worked out between them."

    • I would have to disagree with "JanaPokana " , I think everyone regardless of fame, stardom, popularity, etc... has the right to say and express themselves. I may not like what you say, but I will fight for your right to say it.

I happen to agree with her, put yourself into the mans shoes for a second. sexual stimulation is like a drug and it can cause people to do some pretty messed up things. it is blinding and to have heated passion between to consenting adults, and at the very last moment before penetration say " oops changed my mind " come on! thats like walking through the dessert delirious with thirst and finding an oasis owned by someone willing to let you put your feet in it's water but refusing to let you drink from it.

I think women should make better choices, also take a little blame.

Please understand I am not saying every case is this way. I am also a victim of date rape, so I understand that the blame isn't always the guy's fault. and by being brainwashed into thinking this way only breeds more hate and paranoia against the male species, not to mention the mental damage.

if your honest with yourself and really read what I am saying, then you should understand.

because honestly!?!? I believe your too intelligent to believe what your typing.......

    • Helen Mirren is a good actress, yes, but I am really not interested in her subjective, uninformed and extremely harmful views on rape. Does she have any idea what effect these kinds of statements can have on women who have been raped and who might not be able to deal with it as easily as Mirren herself?
