Attempting to exercise their constitutional rights at the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis/St. Paul, protesters are being met with extreme force and repression by various agents of the State.

Independent media and witnesses on the ground report the use of rubber bullets and massive amounts of tear gas and pepper spray being used to control demonstrators. Mounted police are reportedly stampeding over crowds of people with their horses, causing many injuries.

Lawyers are not being allowed into the jails, and people are being denied needed medical attention and water by a local hospital. City spokespeople have said both facilities are on temporary lockdown because of the protests taking place.

Not even mentioned in MSM. I think protesting is the most patriotic, American thing someone can do.

Are we truly surprised? The current GOP administration has shown no regard for decency when it comes to their opponents, domestic and otherwise. This is simply a symptom of the policies and practices of a group of people that have lost touch with the moral values the claim to cherish so dearly. This travesty upon the American people and the global community cannot end soon enough.

Apparently some of that happened at the DNC, the difference seems to be that the police began some of it even before the RNC started.

Maybe too many of them had seen "Minority Report" and wanted to follow the plot by getting a jump on the protesters

I wonder why? Let's see? Maybe it was because...

Protesters attacked members of the Connecticut delegation when they got off their buses near the Xcel Center,

They tried to rip the credentials off their necks and sprayed them with a toxic substance that burned their eyes and stained their clothes, one delegate Rob Simmons told KMSP-TV.

One 80-year-old member of the delegation had to be treated for injuries, and several other delegates had to rinse their eyes and clothing, the station reported.

Demonstrators also smashed windows, slashed car tires and threw bottles during the anti-war march, St. Paul police said.

Let's be sure and tell both sides of the story people.

    Seems they'll stop at nothing.

What will be done once we've had enough of all their rubbish? Can't wait much longer.
