Still ditchin' the studio for the campaign trail, The Daily Fix wraps up in Denver and heads to Minneapolis to catch the music scene with the Repub's. Featured performances will include: Sammy Hagar, The Beach Boys, Smash Mouth, Gretchen Wilson, Cowboy Troy, Styx, and The Charlie Daniels Band. Bobby Yang will play with Big Head Todd & The Monsters, fresh off their DNC performance. Chris Daughtry can't choose a party either, and Rage Against the Machine will do what their namesake implies. Of course it wouldn't be the RNC without a tribute to the candidate. John Rich performs "Raisin' McCain."

The Daily Fix is the first music blog on TV airing on Current TV. The 2-minute daily music news show delivers cutting edge music news and insightful opinion in compelling short doses, utilizing MP3's and user-generated video from all over the web. Hosted by Douglas Caballero, the show airs daily at 9:31am, 1:31pm, 5:31pm, 8:31pm, 12:31am, 4:31am Eastern Time and can be found online at current.com/dailyfix.

The scene is so different here in St. Paul then Denver. We saw a couple people get tear gassed last night. They are saying 300 have been arrested so far. The police are very on edge here and nerves are pretty thin.

There are also considerably less musicians here and a good portion of them are here in protest, including Rage Against The Machine who played an impromptu megaphone only show on the steps of the Capitol.

Stay tuned tomorrow morning for our interview with Dead Prez.

Here's John Rich's full video for "Raisin' McCain" if you're so inclined to watch.

So the RNC may not be as much fun as the DNC - musically (or at all, I guess). But hey, those are conservatives for ya!

Regardless, I think it's great to see musicians using their craft to spread or support a message, even if they aren't my favorite.

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE ON WEDNESDAY..... WOW! I AM THERE! Thanks, was wondering when something fun was gonna happen out here at the RNC, I've been bored out of my mind since Sunday.
