Did we all bleed red together when we injected black inmates with diseases, you know, like we do rats now, in the Tuskegee Experiments? Or when our churches were endorsing the Lynching of black folks, not to very long ago. Or did we all bleed red together when we murdered millions upon millions of Native Americans, only to enslave African Americans to come over and build our country? Ever heard of Medgar Evers? I think his blood could have been red. But it didn't seem to matter on that brutal day. And for all the African Americans who fought and died for our country yet came home rejected and again enslaved. The Reverend Jeremiah Wright has done more for this country than you and your conservatives buddies ever will. It's ironic your name is in direct conflict with just about everything i have read you've posted. I'm left to ponder if you've ever even considered trying to stand in another's shoes. If for just one split second in your life you might realize just because it's the past, doesn't discount the facts. Calling Obama a racist is only revealing the sad truth most of us have known all along, you guys will never change. Black theology? Do you think different people might have different views based on their experience in this country. I wonder if you are a "Christian" ? It would be fascinating to know. Even the guy who was running against ford said the add was tasteless. But of course it was out of his control, which I believe. What does that have to do about Obama? Because I haven't seen you post anything about Paulin and her out of touch, fundamentalism style of "christianity". The style that calls on women to be forced to keep babies even if they are raped. Or her comfort with praying for more "pork" to build more pipe lines and the infamous , bridge to nowhere, is an appropriate or for that matter insane thing to do in a house of worship. I'm a Christian, I believe in the teachings of Christ. I just really wished your "new party " did. I'd speculate if Jesus was hear on earth, he would be much more interested in a theology that was calling out the injustices of the world instead of hanging with the Pharasies themselves, Pat Robertson, Farewell, and the rest of the "good ole boys". My pastor showed me documentation how Farewell devised a plan to not only take over the babtist convention but did it in a way where he personally sent in couples/spies to find out who was liberal and who was conservative, then split the church. I imagine God must have been proud. "Their loyalty is to Africa first, not America"! Who are they? Obama's or the churches? Because there is a big distinction. Do you really believe just because Obama attended this church, he should have to take full responsibility for everything his pastor says. But in McCain or Paulin's case, it doesn't really matter as much does it. Okay, we probably agree Paulin's literalist views are a little scary and McCain has never been a religious kind of guy, so no need to even discuss them. Plus i_like_facts, they are one of us !! shhhhhhh!!!!! They will help keep "them " in line for us. Their policies might not really help our nation, but one thing is for certain, they will keep putting the big bucks in "our" ancestors hands. "Trickle Down", it's all coming together. That's why since Reagan left office the middle class has started to evaporate. The rich have gotten richer, the poor, poorer, and we did it in the name of fear, "with God on our side"!! I personally relate with the message of Mr. Wright far more than I do with the "religious right". Though I obviously cant say I agree with everything Mr. Wright has said, at least his theology deals with the oppressed and seeks justice for the "little man". Your "boys" use God as a tool to evoke fear and more importantly division among people. It's the only way you guys can win!! Yes sirrrrrrrrrr
