Biden spoke at a veterans’ roundtable in Virginia Beach, Va., after John McCain’s running mate gave a rousing speech the night before at the Republican National Convention. Her speech included several attacks on Barack Obama, casting him as a lofty orator with no record.
“She is good and she was laying it out there, and she delivered an incredible speech,” Biden said. “But the thing I was most impressed by, beyond her standing and how confident she was, (was) what she didn’t say.”
Biden criticized her and other Republican speakers for not spending time addressing health care or college education.
“Not one time did I hear the phrase middle class part their lips,” he said.
“I will be unrelenting in my debate with … the governor of Alaska in terms of the positions she has taken,” he said.
But amid a swirl of media reports surrounding Palin’s pregnant, unmarried teenage daughter and other issues, Biden told FOX News earlier that family is off the table.
“Nothing’s coming out of our campaign, period … criticizing her (family). And it is off limits to talk about her family. … So I really do think it’s off base.”
Female supporters of Palin held a press conference Wednesday accusing the media and Obama backers of sexism in their treatment of Palin.
Biden said it is inappropriate to even suggest that the first-term governor should not be taking on the responsibilities of higher office and motherhood at the same time.

He is right, she didnt say anything about what plans they have for their changes....oh yea, what changes??? It seems she's skimmed through a lot of proposals in alaska, maybe she does have too much on her plate.

If the Obama Biden ticket resists doing anything and everything they can to bring McCain down, then they are 1 up on McCain, we all know he will do anything he can to win. Doesn't any woman see the whole gender card being played in even naming some unknown female republican they could pluck from "outside" Washington. Have you seen how they live in Alaska. I am from Illinois and the rural in Illinois might fish and hunt but it is nothing like fishing or hunting in Alaska. We all stay down here for a reason.
