Rob Da Bank, Radio 1 DJ and Bestival curator has reportedly splashed out 'a lot of dough' on plastic meshing for the whole of his festival site on the Isle of Wight.Bestival is renowned for being the closing festival of the summer, and on the whole normally manages to dodge any bad weather, but unfortunately for everyone going, things are different this year - it's gonna lash it down!
Writing on his NME blog, Da Bank said: "Tad damp down here after some hefty rain overnight but the vibes are positive and the weather's gonna perk up! There you are – British optimism at its best."
I'd normally feel a bit sad for festival goers who've got to compete with the weather, but not this time. It's amazing how bitter not getting a ticket can make you ...

That's why i am thinking of not attending any festivals in the UK anymore until global warming dries everything up and stops the rain coming down as has it stopped snow...
Or is there any way those 'emergency storm measures' will actually work to us avoiding rain? - 1 year ago

I felt just the same about Latitude after I couldn't get a damn ticket for love nor money (well, actually I didn't try love...). Ahh, the weather wasn't perfect? Ha! Ha! HA!
