The satirical group calling itself "Lobbyists for McCain" made an appearance in the streets of St. Paul. Looking like sunglasses free blues brothers they held parody signs, which are available on their website, with slogans like "Hope, But Different", "Loyal to Big Oil.", "Lobbyists Do It For a Fee." Their site, though more humorous, provides articles on Republican Presidential Nominee John McCain's history of serving special interest groups on issues such as the economy, energy, veterans, Iraq, and climate change.
They are not affiliated with the lobbyists who hired the band "Hookers & Blow" for the delegates and other guests at the convention.

i think satire has become the most effective, our attention spans are so short that it has to be funny or else we would just ignore it. Also shock value has become pretty important
