The many lies and myths about McCain WILL come out. McCain is closed minded, bears grudges, a hot-head and utterly unfit to occupy the office of President.
The Palin pick may prove to be his undoing. Palin is an extremist and and the label will stick. McCain is, likewise, an extremist, but because he was a hero, he was labeled a 'straight talker'. It's all PR and spin. McCain is to the right of Attila the Hun and he is OWNED by the Military/Industrial complex.
The Palin pick makes AGE a critical issue. What if an agin McCain dies in office. That means Palin, an idiot and ideologue, becomes President. A Palin Presidency might be even more disastrous than that of GWB.

Here is the message I just received from retired_Navy:
shame on you
You should move out of mommy house and try paying your own bills. Punks like you are the trash talking problem in America. the 2% of the people in America that are not paying the loan should of seen they couldn't afford the loan. Why should the rest of us that have worked pay the bills for the people that are to proud to get a job, cut off the INTERNET and cable. Eat at home and stop eating out. The bank never should have given them a loan. Obama is not like any of us look at him look as close as you are at McCain. You are trash the way you report bull stories based on shit. If you were my daughter I would send you out to learn how real life is. If your boy Obama can do better than the military let him put on a uniform and try.

retired_navy... at least most of us attended school. your seemingly thoughtless remarks don't portray a man of military morals or voracity. your comments are ingenuous and sordid. take a hike.

In the words of some random internet commentator:
"I'd rather be wrong about Obama than right about McCain."
Anyhow...
I wasn't very impressed with the responses of the guy being interviewed. Early in the interview he says "he flip flops as much as any other politician". The host says, "give me an example"... listen for the guy's response, it's dissapointingly vague and evasive.
But then again, I'm not too apt to watch the majority of suit-footage no matter who makes it.

McCain is too emotional to make a decent leader, he angers, becomes unbalanced, and makes poor decisions.

+ I have watched McCain with his body Launguage. He is very Hot Headed and has Anger issues. He has this ALL or Nothing frame of mind. The thought of McCain as a President Just scares me because He surrounds himself with YES people. They wont give him a good counsel in a time of crisis because his mind on issues already are stead fast! McCain, has no-idea of eonomics and has admitted this publically. so, how could he change America if he truely has a lack of UNDERSTANDING when it comes to balancing the Goverments payroll, bills, taxes etc.
You are correct McCain wants us to elect him because he is some ex navy pilot and proclaimed war HERO. Lke thats supposeto be good enough? McCain is out of touch with Average everyday working America!-

I'm an independent that used to like McCain 2000 (I'm former Arizona resident as well). I can't say I ever bought into the "Maverick" image of McCain. He would speak out against his own party at one time, but he usually supported them with his vote nonetheless. So I always considered his rebelliousness to be more lip-service than anything else.
I'm an independent for many reasons, but one of the reasons is that I dislike the effect staunch partisanism has on government; that utterly useless stand-off that occurs so often in DC. Back in 2000, McCain was one of the few candidates that I thought would work with the other side (at least on a rare occasion, which was better than nothing in my view). I liked how he was open to reporters, as well. Maybe I was wrong about the man, but that's how I viewed him at the time.
I view McCain 2008 as being the complete antithesis of his former self. Here's a recent interview he did with TIME Magazine which I think perfectly captures how much he has changed.

I wonder why he feels only 2% of america is involved with the mortgage crisis when there is over 60% foreclosure rate... If he did any real reasearch he would find the banks themselves lied to get people the loans and many of them never knew about it. No Income No Asset is the name of the loans... look it up....
As for McCain, just like Obama his angle during this election tottally contradicts his voting record.....
