Please show this to as many people as possible. This is a little to extreme for me to have as my VP.

Definitely Jesus Camp.
-
...what else does alaska have to celebrate other than "god"?
this is an excellent modern example of how myths get created and get turned into religion. mist and fire and wind in the corner of an enclosed building in the middle of a god-forsaken state.
funny how that works
-
That doesnt look like any church i have been to, looks more like a cult to me.
-
This is so fucken annoying that I couldn't watch the whole thing. Maybe that is how the video was made, I dunno. But, it annoyed the crap out of me. Just like the little girl in Jesus Camp whom I want to punch. XD

scary, fucking scary.
People like that can govern!

I heard that Palens pastor went out of his way to ask for prayers for all four candidates. He also asked why reporters were at the church looking for a story and told his congregants to examine the candidates and make up their mind. Contrast this with the extremist rant from Wright who preaches hatred. I would rather have someone in the White House with a religious bent than a communist.

At first I thought not so great grandpa and his tally-ho were abysmly crude/vulgar redneck Racketeers.
So full of their own self deluded bullshit they couldn't lie
straight in bed.And looney tunes. But the more I see &
hear about McCain/Palin the more I understand exactly
how extremely dangerous these 2 lunatic maniacs realy
are. McCain wanting to start a war with Russia is the most irresponsible, criminaly insanely foolish thing I've
heard. And Palin belonging to lunatic fringe "Churches"
that would make Red Ryder cringe is alarming.Jesus
never wanted any human to fight any other human in his
name of anyone elses name. Jesus preached Peace
and only Peace. What planet have not so great grandpa
and his talley-ho been living on anyway? This world
will be so screwed if these 2 psychos are elected. Can
you think how the European Union will view us then?
And the headlines: "Palin wants a Ghad for Jesus!"
Then it will be the Muslims, not just Heart, who tell
McCain/Palin to stop their copyright infringement. At
that point, I hope those ETs who already view humans
as dangerous lunatics, actualy do land to break it up.
Because at that point Immigration & Naturalization won't
be looking for ANYONE's green cards. -
THIS video is walking a thin line between trying to attack Sarah Palin, and attacking a certain belief structure that she happens to be a part of.
We are better than this.

Vote it up, this needs out. One of the books Sarahcuda wanted banned was a Bible. Apparently not HER Bible. Unless you think living in a theocracy is what we need. Vote this up, spread the word.
Beware of Sarahcuda trolls!

as much as i love obama, i dont see anything wrong with this pod. its just a bunch of pple worshiping. its not like they are doing anything wrong. let them be. freedom of religion pple. back off.
-
freedom of religion is a wonderful thing. i think it is great if people gain strength from their beliefs. HOWEVER. this is a representative of our country and i do not want creationism and fire and brimstone entered into my childs classroom (ie- texas)

Uhm...so?
You know what this reminds me of? Those videos of protesters.
People chanting...it's all the same. No difference. If one is scary so is the other.
-
"This world has nothing for me..", does that mean they get to ride away on the comet?
-
IN GENERAL, I think these fucking nut-jobs need to stay in Alaska. I grew up in southern Appalachia. I know what a penocostal(sp?) church is all about. The only things that these people are missing are the rattlers and copperheads. I guess, it too cold for serpents in AK.
Palin is part of the religious fringe of the fringe. They can believe what they want to. But, they insist on forcing their beliefs on everyone else. No freedom there.
She was a member of an AK fringe party that wanted to secede from the Union up until 1996, just prior to becoming a Republican. No Patriotism there either.
Is that specific enough for you J_Jammer?

You "can only get to the Father by the Son", some church forget that the Father is who you want.
This is EXTREME.

Setting religious dogma aside and caring not what each denomination "requires" of its followers, I think this is just plain scary.
Add to this McCain's now-exposed ties to neo-con "handlers", advisers and partners like Randy Scheunemann who were to the RIGHT of Bush and I think the election of these two would be disastrous.
Right now, Rove is helping to guide McCain's campaign and Cheney is off setting the stage for more military involvement in Georgia and other Middle East hot spots. (There are reliable sources that allege Georgia made the first move just to provoke Russia and knew in advance of U.S. backing and that the U.S. had agreed blame Russia so that a Georgian alliance would help them acquire an ally next to the Caspian Sea.)
While there are those Christians who think Armageddon is around the corner, I'd rather not hasten a situation that could turn into what some might call "the end times" when they are really just a series of bad choices from militaristic bullies who see a world that is ripe for U.S. control even if it bankrupts us.
Let's not allow the "fringe" groups to seize on the instability in the world and that which is already undeniably present with the McCain/Palin ticket to lead us astray.
Remember the people who all poisoned themselves to go join Halley's Comet during its last appearance here?
The world didn't end then as they predicted and it didn't end with Y2K as others predicted.
Let's get out the vote to make sure the McCain/Palin ticket doesn't become a self-fulfilling prophecy of "DOOM" that "spares" a few of us to carry on in a world wrecked by another wrongful war started between two inflexible religious groups!
I don't want another Crusades, another Inquisition or any other kind of Holy War. That desire includes wanting no part of any war started by those whose religion is the worship of war, world domination, oil, power, unbridled Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Jesus or Alla.
For the sake of this country, I utter those words in the name of the Constitution which has already been ravaged by eight years of Bush, Cheney and the neo-cons and seven years of the Patriot Act.

..and Obama's middle name scares people??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
-
I keep hearing about Jesus H. Christ. Do you suppose his middle name was Hussein? I think it must be. So what is there to be afraid of?

The teachings of Christ are seldom followed by modern Christians. What a news flash that is. The teachings of Bhudda are seldom followed by bhuddists. The Tibetan monks are taking up arms! The human quest for euphoria can be found everywhere. To ridicule another's quest without examining your own is a sure way to remain blind and ignorant.

To Paratus and others,
We all have opinions. The right to have those opinions deserves respect even if the content of the opinions merits none.
Did you know that the Rev. Jeremiah Right was scheduled to receive an award at the overwhemingly white and Republican Texas Christian University Brite Divinity School and he had to cancel his trip to accept the award because of death threats after Sean Hannity began re-playing the same clip of his criticizing America for going into Iraq and saying that he did not agree with other oppressive actions?
I didn't think so.
Were you this outraged when the late Rev. Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson scolded New Orleans and said that God used Katrina to punish them?
I didn't think so.
Were you as offended when Pat Robertson told the School Board of Dover, PA, that God would not help them when the next disaster struck because a REPUBLICAN judge agreed that the attempt by some to force the teaching of "creationism" was just an end run around the separation of Church and state and that the issue had already been decided by the notorious Darwinism/ "Monkey Trial" decision?
I didn't think so.
Were you equally troubled that Focus on the Family's Dr. James Dobson and his top assistant were in league with "Hot Tub" Tom Delay as they opposed casino licensing to help Jack Abramoff''s tribal customers and some of Delay's tribal constituents while those tribes shored up their own casino monopolies and prevented other tribes from getting a license?
I didn't think so.
So what exactly are you saying about leaving someone's faith alone? If it involves my tax dollars and if that faith or denomination involves electing or helping politicians that I think are dishonest and who hurt this country, I'm going to repeat myself until they get the message.
You should try looking at it in that sense, too.
