Sarah Palin's stump speeches have largely stuck to the same script (what the AP describes as "a greatest hits of her convention speech). However, one line that constantly shows up is that Palin said "thanks, but no thanks, to that 'bridge to nowhere.'" Palin's claim of opposing the 'bridge to nowhere' has been proven false, yet she refuses to drop the line. Watch Palin use this exact line in seven different stump speeches since the end of the...

    • This is insane! Would you buy cleaning products from a door to door salesman that you knew was flat out lying to you? There needs to be a minimum IQ level for voting privileges. We can't let the backward ass bible belt put us through four more years of this mess.

    • The OBAMAMEDIA has taken a vague question about Alaskian inferstructure and converted it into a supporting the "Bridge to Nowhere".

      It's a classic example of "gotyaa", non-sense.

Watch McCain/ Palin rise in the polls. Something Obama has been unable to do.

    • No.

Because if she did change her mind you'd be wrong and that would just be too much to handle.

People change their minds a lot...ie Obama.

So if you're going to harp on her harp on him as well...if you even have the guts.

Her support was always conditional. She was very clear that she'd have to see particulars on the project. Clearly when she and her staff analyzed this they saw better uses for the money. The bottom line is that she fought her congressional delegation and stopped the project. All the liberal whining in the world won't make that any less true.

Liberal whining, where did you get that from, jawbone. Oh, I remember Phil Gramm. What do you call it when the neo-cons whine about your girl Palin being asked tough questions?

She acts like she never supported it? Uhhh . . . what does how she acts matter? What matters in politics is what you do . . . not how you act. Of course, you liberals always get this exactly backwards. Might be part of the reason why you lose so many elections.

    • Reading Huffington post is like listening to FoxNEWs.

      Bleh.

She never stated when she opposed it did she? Because it's also true that she did oppose it after it was knocked down and they were given the money anyway.

As for agreeing for things that no longer do what about Obama and the war?

If people are not allowed to change their minds...the neither is he.

    • No wonder she's not granting interviews. She's got nothing else to say... she should start putting on new lipstick. This one's getting a little old and crusty

    • I think lies are going to continue to plague us. I understand your point, but lying is a huge issue.

If we ignore the lies they will become truth. We have seen this in the last eight years.

I think it's a very real issue and to just lay it off and in essense excuse lying as being a Republican trait is more groupthink than critical thinking.

There are people that are absolutely sure that Saddam was behind 9-11.

yeah I'll vote it down if I'm sick of hearing about it.
      Sorry.
Every day I get on here and think "Hmm I wonder what my daily dose of Palin dirt is today", that was moreso when she first got on the scene though. Now it's just repetitive.

Or, maybe I shouldn't go on Current every day :p
