Supposedly in July of last year Palin was making a trip overseas to visit our troops,
but a news report has cited Alaska national guards and aides saying that Palin didn't even go into Iraq like she claimed and only stopped for fuel on another "visit"

As my mom loves to say, "Oh Hell. They ALL lie."

She's not a world traveler or a reformer. She's just a back-stabbing politically opportunistic yokel.

what terrifies me about the 'palin ploy for popularity' (as i have privately dubbed mccain's vp choice, given my penchant (ha!) for alliteration) is that people are just eating it up and polls are showing it's actually been a success...

it's like the whole country has Stockholm Syndrome with the Bush administration...

Apparently lipstick isn't enough to keep her gaffes hiddden.

The truly sad thing is that much of this information won't reach the voters who will continue to give in to rumors and the little bits of info they get from campaign ads on between TV shows.
I like to think that if the American people were to collectively understand how John McCain's been running his campaign (Rovian tactics taken even a step further with full blown lies in attack ads) his support would plummet.
Sadly though, avoiding the issues and focusing on personal attacks seems to be working.. it will be a dark day if hes elected into office.

I'm sure it's very confusing the first time you leave the country to remember exactly how many countries you went to as an envoy for the U.S. so recently. Let's see, was it 2 or was it 3 countries? Did I cross the actual border of Iraq or did we just talk about me doing it? Details like this might be important to someone better qualified for your nomination-like most Americains when it comes right down to it.

U.S. politics has long been in a dark place where party loyalty, no matter who your options are, are the most important. We are so divided by our own personal beliefs and positions we would rather risk having someone with no experience a possible VP or President than voting for a Democrat. We have established age and citizenship requirements for the presidency, experience should be a critical factor.
In California "The Terminator" is Governor, Gary Coleman has run for the same position, and so has a porn star. I honestly don't see how the international community takes the U.S. seriously. Sarah Palin is the worst (calculated) mistake in the electoral history of the U.S. Im frightened by the GOP's decision to nominate her, but Im even more frightened by the backing she is receiving and how close she is to the White House.

Palin is the best.
McCain is a genius for picking her, that decision is gonna save America. Why???
Because it was BIGGEST political blunder in the history of modern America and all but guarantees that Obama will be our next president.
I love it!!!
McCain recruits Palin and she puts the final nail in the republican coffin.
Everyone thank John McCain, That senile old bugger just handed America back to THE PEOPLE on a silver platter.

You lie, hey lie, they lie, well, we all lie.

very peculiar and risky thing to lie about - doesn't she know she'd inevitably be found out? I can't believe people love her so much in the US... I'm getting very worried about what would happen if she and McCain are voted in.
