'70's disco band The Village People have been honoured with their very own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. The group – who are still together and touring today – performed their hit YMCA at the unveiling ceremony last week.
Originally created for a gay fan base in the late 1970's, the band's songs In the Navy, Go West, Macho Man and YMCA were soon mainstream hits.
The Village People's star is in front of the Scientology Building, one block from Hollywood's YMCA.
